It couldn't be real, none of it could. She was trapped inside a house full of monsters and ghosts? Really? Not only that, but Mion had been here too? A year ago? None of it made sense, and things were happening in a way that made it seem like Rena was dreaming. A strange woman, followed by a bloody monster girl, followed by another strange woman getting dragged down into the floor by masked men. It even felt as if the floor wanted to suck her in too!

Even so...if it was a dream, she wouldn't even be considering the possibility. She'd go on like everything was normal, only realizing it wasn't real when she woke up in tears the next day. The fact that she was lucid enough to wonder about the situation...Rena shook her head silently as she tested the floor beneath her. At least the hallway didn't try to eat her.

If this wasn't a dream, then Rena had to wonder how she got here. Had she possibly...angered Oyashiro-sama? She silenced that thought as she noticed there was someone else in the hallway. A girl ( ... )

Mio jumped a little, rather suddenly snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of someone calling out to her, bringing her camera a little closer to her chest as she looked over her shoulder to see a girl behind her. She took one hand off of her camera as she gave her own greeting, offering a bit of a half-hearted wave, doing doing her best to keep the thought of what she'd just been told out of her mind. After all, if she didn't think about it, if she just didn't think about it and she didn't believe it and she kept telling herself that it wasn't true then maybe it wouldn't be so. If she just kept focusing on finding the letters, then at the very least she might be able to help that woman ( ... )

Rena smiled and tilted her head downwards in embarrassment. At least this one seemed normal. In fact, she looked about Rena's age. Just those simple things were comforting in this place.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. I was startled when I first got here..." Her smile fell for just a moment. "Rena is...new," she finished, bringing her machete out from behind her to gesture around the hall for emphasis.

"And...it's all pretty scary, isn't it?" She smiled wider, as if to reassure herself. It only made her look awkward. There wasn't anything to be happy about.
