Summary: Mio's sense of time still fails and continues to get her into trouble, at least the study isn't haunted.

Mio quietly nodded in response before it could occur to her that the gesture might have been pointless, if the woman was on the other side of the door. "I...I'll be sure to avoid them, thank you..." Was that an appropriate response? She wasn't entirely sure, but...it seemed like it would have been worse to stay silent. There was a definite sense of relief as she confirmed that nothing in particular was haunting the fairy bedroom tonight, her trembling starting to subside a little. The worry was still there - concern about the monsters and even more concern about other residents, but it was a more manageable anxiety. She wanted to get back, didn't think that she could feel at ease she was able to see him safe for herself, but...a couple minutes more would be okay, wouldn't it? Just to find out what she could now, while the opportunity was still there... "Are there are safe rooms tonight...?"

A moment's more hesitation, but the tone lingered gently, even a little encouraging. "Go under the earth, to the basement tunnels and the morgue. Stay where you are. Go to the coat closet, the thinnest bedroom and the one that stays clean. You'll be safe there."

Mio waited patiently during that moment of hesitation, finding herself easily adjusting to the slight delay that came before she spoke. She looked around the room once more as the voice referred to it, taking in the absence of monsters and ghosts. The tunnels, the morgue, the study, the coat closet - that was in the entrance room, right? - and two bedrooms. She recalled the clean bedroom as being Koizumi's, though it took her a few moments to recall which bedroom was the thinnest, eventually deciding that it must have been the one to the left of Sasori's bedroom. She hadn't gotten a good look at all of them, of course, but she wasn't sure that anything smaller could have passed as a bedroom ( ... )

A soft, melancholy tone answered her. "The circle of those who joined in death hunt those who would rob them again; never touch their guns. The woman in the freezer weeps for salvation; don't listen to her cries. The boy in the hospital ward hides even as he seeks; stay far from his reaching hands."

Mio shivered at the mention of the frozen woman, unconsciously taking her hand off the door to hug herself as she remembered her bitterly cold touch and her time trapped in the freezer. If Zetsu hadn't come when he had...she shuddered again. It wasn't a pleasant thing to consider - then again, neither were the suicidal ghosts...the other night, the two she'd seen had ( ... )
