I love them both in that scene so much that the entire episode could've been crap (and it wasn't) and that last scene alone would've had me rewatching the episode.

Aww, what a cute story about E - it made me happy reading it! As far as quotes go, the one that first pops to mind is "I stand for truth, justice... and other stuff." An anvil, yes, but a funny one.

E is kind of awesome, which is why he's a keeper.

Clark had some witty lines in the first season that I don't think he got to have again until Season 8. Sure he and Lois bickered in Season 4 and onward, but nothing stands out the way that line did. Well, Committed also had a few good Clark lines ("You got dressed all by yourself...in the kitchen for, like, an hour") but I'm just glad to have a sort of mergence of early-season-witty!Clark and awesomely-heroic-Season-9!Clark.

And LOL That quote is awesome! I totally love how she brings out his snarky side! I also agree with Trish ... then again, Lois stealing Clark's food is funny in general. :D

I just went "awww" over your precious Superman moment. E knows you so well and that has got to be one of the sweetest and most thoughtful gifts. You'll get to be silly at CC and won't look out of place if you hug him and never let go ;)

As for the quote, it is a great one from Clark and absolutely adored Lois' follow-up. She even recognized his wittiness. I do love how the two can be themselves with each other and not be guarded. It truly shows that the Clark and Lois relationship has many facets. It's not just amorous love or secrets or heroics, it's all that but also the "normal" everyday stuff of life, friendship i.e. "Can this wait until your post lunch, pre-dinner after coffee snack break".

And you're right, it was the first time in a while since we had seen that side of Clark. Could just give our Clark a big squishy hug.
