TBQ wish list part deux

Nov 22, 2004 11:38

I'm sure y'all know the drill on these by now so I won't repost the instructions. I'll just make people aware of this post which has a nice one-stop shopping location if you want to surf around and see who you can be a Secret Santa or Hannukkah Harry for. =)

That being said... ( What TBQ would love for Christmas, now with stuff that doesn't cost money )

*volunteers for 4 or 4a*

I'm no professional, but I'm pretty good with html and almost passable with css. I'm also obsessed with organizing things. So. :)

Oo - neat! I don't need anything fancy, just new.

How are you with design, b/c I really have no ideas as to what to turn it into. "Something that doesn't look like what it is currently" is about all I've got for a start point. ;)

I'm...decent. My tendency for design is to figure out the colorscheme and/or pictures that are going into the layout, then looking at my archive of pretty sites I've saved, pick a few that suit the scheme, and combine/modify them until it's pretty.

'cos if I have to think of something on my own my eyes cross and my brain explodes. :p

So- any color prefs, pictures you want it based on, anything?

At the moment I have no idea. Do you have links to stuff you've done before? Maybe if I took a look at that I could point to stuff and say "Like that, but maybe in blue." =)

My favorite tat artist is unfortunately in San Pedro, CA, so Carlos won't work. But if you need help designing, I designed two of my three. :) You looking for tribal, kanji, cat, fairy, Angel...?

(I'm really good at the kanji. Or mixing kanji with Sindarin/Quenya, but I'm a Tolkien dork...)

Also fluent in several forms of Old and Middle English if you want something literary dorklike. :)

I was thinking of a Celtic/tribal base, with some other elements added in.

You got pictures of stuff you've done? Might be easier for me to say if what you've done is what I'm thinking of, then trying to describe if what I'm thinking of is what you can do.

Let's try that again...

I'm surprised to see that this isn't on your wishlist! Is it because you'd have to get it shipped from the UK?

I didn't even know it existed! Though having seen the series once I don't know that I would watch it again on DVD. I tend to get my Jamie fix from having him Tivoed ;)

I'm willing to accept challenges. For me, getting past the oblivious thing is the far greater obstacle. 8)
