Yuna and Lulu could wrap things up, with Tromell. She had every faith in them. She? She needed air.

He'd offered her his life.

She could have excused it so easily, taking it. Some part of her still wanted to. Some Guardian she was.

She couldn't breathe. She was walking. Away. Away from the sphere tree that Tromell had made into his self-pitying headquarters, and deeper into the woods. She found herself gravitating towards the spring. Tidus had pulled Yunie back from her crisis of faith, here. And she had taught Reno to swim.

She waded out into the water, until it was waist-deep. This place was soothing. She was going to close her eyes and listen to the crystal twinkling of the woods until she felt less like screaming.

Reno couldn't get over this place. It was like every time he found himself here, looking around the trees of Macalania, there was some other life just humming in the air around him, singing just out of earshot ( ... )

Rikku heard the footsteps, and tried betting herself whether it would be Lulu or Yuna. Yuna might be more obliged to stay, and bow, and inquire after his family. Did Tromell have any family? Rikku almost hoped they were dead.

That was a horrible, shitty, mean thing to think, and she was ashamed of herself.

She also found herself wishing that it would be Lulu and not Yuna, which was also horrible and shitty. She'd die for Yuna, in a heartbeat. But she'd also cover her tears more quickly, and promise that she was entirely okay, if it were her cousin. No need to cause more heartache for Yuna.

Just in case, she was going to wipe at her eyes and clear her throat and do her best to seem like she was just ... enjoying the spring.

"I think that went pretty --"

......... Not Lulu or Yuna. He -- what was he -- but he was --

"Reno?"

"Yo, babe." Reno offered her a lopsided sort of grin as he shrugged out of his jacket, tossing it onto the shore where it was soon joined by the contents of his pants pockets and his EMR.

And then he hit the water at a run. There was a Rikku in there who was in dire need of a hug, he was guessing. He could make more words once that was achieved.
