It started with a newspaper article about the unveiling of Saks Fifth Avenue's holiday window displays and annual Snowflake Light Show. And then it hit me. I miss NYC.

I've never had a whole Christmas season in NY, but I have been there around the time and do know that the decor is something to be marveled at...and of course, something that just cheers immediately upon sight.

Family does that too. You already know that you'll have a good time with your family (ok, you and I know that probably one or two arguments are bound to happen. ;) ) The decor at the local mall won't be half as glamorous, but I guarantee you'll be feeling a lot warmer every night :)

I remember how hesitant you were about living in NYC and it just wasn't DC. I'm glad you were able to form so many fond memories.

NYC during the holidays sounds magical. That snowflake show is neat. My sis is there right now, but she's coming back to LA for Christmas. Kind of wish I could be there before she comes home.

Ooo I spent Christmas and New Years in NYC once. Most of it was wonderful. And the bits that weren't had nothing to do with the city.

Our new downtown/city hall has a snowflake and light show very similar. They only play three songs though so it gets pretty boring after weeks of it.
