"Merry Christmas," she replied, shaking the woman's hand. "It's nice to meet you. I am called Tessa."

"Tessa? That's a lovely name for a lovely woman." Rangiku smiled still taking in the other woman. "What do you say we get out of the busy hallway and find somewhere to talk?

And sure enough, there was just such a person not too far away.

"Hey there!" As soon as Alph recognized her, he quickly closed the distance to give Ran a hug. "Merry Christmas, Ran!"

"Merry Christmas, Alph." She smiled hugging him tightly. "How have you been?"

Her eyes took in his familiar appearance and she instantly relaxed in his arms. Being around people she knew and liked always had her much more calm and happy.

"Not too bad," he told her, enjoying the hug. "Better since I found you again."

It was a similar case for Alph - people from his home were few and far between. Someone he knew and loved, like Ran, was a great mood lifter.

"I would say the same actually." She said truthfully. "I have missed you." She placed her hand into his own and pulled him to the wall, out of the flow of hotel traffic.

Arms was exactly right, as she rounded the corner right into Ishtar's embrace. After a moment of surprise, the goddess quickly hugged the Soul Reaper tighter, smiling broadly.

Rangiku relaxed almost instantly into the arms of the goddess. "Ishtar." She whispered softly as she leaned in closer to the older woman. "I'm better now that you're here." She said.

Black Lady was milling about the hallway, dressed much more conservatively than she usually was. She didn't seem very happy either. Naturally when she turned the corner and saw the tall blond woman there, she slowed to a stop to keep from running into her.
