A high-pitched tone resonated through the elevator lobby and Kain snapped his eyes up to the doors before himself and Spain, his attention momentarily distracted from the other man. The steel doors parted, admitting them entrance into the car, and Kain involuntarily hesitated briefly before nodding his head towards them, gesturing that he was allowing the brunet to go ahead in front of him. Though he'd been in the Hotel for a while already, the holy dragoon would likely always be a little wary of the technology that daily bombarded him from all sides within the massive building. Yes, he'd ridden inter-dimensional elevators before, even flown into space before, walked on other planets and watched technology be developed directly in his sight; however, at nearly four decades of life, Kain was still very much attached to the more traditional surroundings of nature - mountains and blue skies, trees and green grass... Call him stuck in his ways, but the dragon knight didn't mind if he was considered small-minded because of his aversion to synthetic, man-made elements.
"No," Kain replied to Spain once he'd summed up his courage and had stepped inside the elevator. "I did not have any floor in mind especially. I'm not sure if there even is a way to keep track of all these shifting rooms." He crossed his arms and leaned against a wall, eying the big panel of buttons. Surely these weren't all the floors, were they? He could have sworn he'd ended up on the eight thousandth floor once. There were too few circular, glass buttons on the panel for that to be possible.
"I doubt it matters where we attempt to go," he conceded finally, his voice slightly rueful. "Are you certain about this, Antonio?"
