Fill: Oblivious to the Point of Obtusiveness (1a/3)

I'm sort of new here, but I don't think this requires any actual warnings? There's just silliness, swearing and some severe dialectal confusion. Unbeta'd and written around 4am. Enjoy.
Esca woke up thinking that the trope of waking up denoting a new beginning did certainly not take into account the mornings after overindulging in alcoholic beverages. His past was clearly trespassing on his present and probably well into his future as well. What the hell had he been thinking, getting into a jelly shot battle with marketing students? Never again. Oh hey, maybe that's the new beginning represented by this particular waking up.
"Are you still drunk or is this what literature majors do instead of morning wanks?"
Esca froze and carefully turned his head a bit to take in the prone form on his couch, less than three feet from his bed in his just-about-affordable flat.
"Marcus? What... Oh, shit." His headache did definitely not improve with the sudden surge of memories from last night. Marcus had dragged his mostly unconscious body home

Marcus choked on his coffee and Esca got distracted trying to help him breathe again. Afterwards there was a few moments of silence while Marcus concentrated on getting his breathing back to normal and Esca... Well, he was doing the same, really, reminiscing on last night

It took Esca three days to get hold of Liathan, and that combined with Marcus' insane work schedule, which prevented them from hanging out like they usually did, had been driving him crazy. He kept having extremely vivid dreams about the mystery blowjob. He'd probably been wanking more than that one summer when he was 17 and the gorgeous guy living next door had been doing yoga in the yard in his shorts every day. He even fell asleep once in class and woke up hard. If that hadn't been embarrassing enough, the girl sitting next to him had moved two seats away from him and was sneaking him alarmed looks for the remaining lecture. He didn't even want to know why

About three weeks later he finally snapped and camped outside Marcus' flat. He'd have to come home eventually, even if his workload had really increased dramatically in the last month, which Esca severely doubted. He was halfway through his book, had mostly drank his hot chocolate and was still quite comfortable underneath his blanket when Marcus appeared

"Fuck you, Marcus. I'm sorry I'm not as virtuous and pure as your esteemed self. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen you with anyone these last three years we've known each other

Marcus looked at him with a thoughtful expression. "You really remember everything so clearly? It's been over three years and you seem to remember every detail while still claiming they weren't dates." He smirked. "Ironically enough, you've completely forgotten about our first actual hook-up from less than a month ago

This was hilarious and UTTERLY delightful. I think all the Liathan and Placidus cameos (and teheheh past Marcus/Placidus <3) just totally stole the show for me.

Esca's torment was absolutely delicious :D Poor Marcus, with such a complicated history and his botched attempts it's no wonder he gave up after a while :D It's an awesome story, and the Liathan&Placidus cameos were perfect :)
