There's a good chance nobody who reads this will care, but this, specifically this is what my ray-tracing needed. I'd struggled with how to make a triangle (or cone) tangent to a circle (or sphere) a specific size and distance away from the point. Stumbled upon this studying up on math, feeling like I didn't need to be doing art today :>

Hmm, invented by the same philosopher who legendarily, when asked why his brains hadn't made him rich, proceeded to get rich with a seasonally wise investment in olive presses. I should look into this.

I've been there. I have had my students ask for help in math during lunch or in the morning. I've forgotten solid geometry. Algebra is a distant memory. If it's calculus you might have a shot.

I only clearly remember the most basic of basics of calculus, but have a working knowledge of trig. (it gets use). Oddly, I don't remember ever knowing this, though I feel like I really should have. :(
