"Ich bin da," Bill sang looking intensely at Georg. He could feel himself beaming, and could not help it. Worried as to what he was letting people read in his face, he turned and sang to the fans. He closed his eyes, putting all his heart in the song. Opening them, he let himself rejoice under the falling confetti that was part of their grand finale.

He could not help himself, and that is why despite turning to his right towards his brother Tom would be much safer, his head was turned to the left and he looked at Georg one more time. Their eyes met through the falling shiny papers, and Georg smiled at him wickedly. Damn him, he wasn't helping either! He wanted to stick his tongue out at him when he did that!

"Du bist nicht allein," he sang softly, and the last song of the last concert of the tour came to its end. They all got up and smiled to the roaring fans, bowed and thanked them for their support while being blinded by the hundreds of flashes from the multitude of cameras hovering over the crowd's heads, capturing this unique moment. He knew that in a matter of hours anyone that was interested would be able to see the big smiles that were now on their sweaty faces on internet. With a final wave of their hands, they left the stage.

As they were ushered to the greenroom, Bill could feel electricity running through his muscles and he thought that it didn't matter that they had just left the stage, the performance high was still running through their veins. But it wouldn't last forever. As used as he now was to the effects that performing had in them all, he knew that in 15 minutes it would all go away and he would be left as energy-less as an hibernating bear. He chuckled at that thought. He would be a bizarre bear, with his so-called lion mane, but he knew one band mate who would be a fine feline - he cut quite the image with those mesmerizing green eyes and his lazy and unflappable attitude.

Finding himself thinking of Georg again, when he should have been paying attention to what Dunja said, he sighed at the anxiety that his relationship with Georg added to the already full trouble-and-worries-box in his mind, the one that he tried not to let suffocate him when he thought too much about it. As time passed, each day was more difficult to remember to keep the shared looks and smiles to themselves. At least when the band was alone they were free to do as they felt like and didn't have to be alert for the sneaky yellow press reporters, waiting for their prize-winning picture. That thought always made him feel as if he dumped a load of stress from his shoulders.

The band went to a private party where they celebrated the end of their successful tour. It was being held in a private house, where the usual mixture of acquaintances and strangers mingled. As far as Bill was concerned, they could have been in the middle of an interplanetary alien gathering as he wasn't going to pay the rest of the people there much attention.

He was tired, his energy levels almost floor level after the tour, and all he really wanted to do was drag a certain somebody that was now next to him to a room and have his way with him. Or maybe let him have his way once more. He watched the bassist dodge another attempt to separate them and monopolize their attention. The singer smirked. Yeah, Georg didn't speak much, but that didn't mean that he would let himself be orchestrated like a puppet.

They slipped to the desert garden, supposedly looking for the missing drummer who had outwitted them and gone missing as soon as they entered the house.

“Shit it's fucking freezing out here!”

“If you weren't in such a hurry we could have picked up our jackets! But, oh no, Georg's brain was elsewhere occupied and freezing our asses didn't seem to be as important. I swear that if I catch a cold again, I'll let you explain it all to Jost by yourself!”

“Don't worry, I won't let you feel the cold.”

The singer looked at the shorter guy and couldn't help laughing. “Georg, that was the cheesiest line ever!”

“But will it work?” Georg winked.

“Who knows... .”

Bill took one step nearer the bassist and let his hand rest on his chest. He looked at him and when he was sure that he had his complete attention, he licked his lips. If Georg didn't know better, he would take one look at the singer's clueless expression, missing the mischievousness in his eyes, and would think that he wasn't aware of the way the tongue stud flashed and its effect on him. He was just going to keep that tongue busy... .

“Oh here you are! It took me forever to find you!”

“And now that you found us you can go and leave us alone,” Georg said bear hugging Bill. “I've found someone who understands the time I spend in the bathroom.”

“That's my twin not your bitch! Though I am glad we are going back home, I have enough with one I-spend-hours-in-front-of-the-mirror person in the house! Now move it, I came to tell you that Jost just said that we were done here.”

Bill smiled as he remembered that they had some free days before the new single was released, then some promotion, and then they would be going home for Christmas and to simply enjoy some time with the family.

Bill fingered the bracelet around his wrist while he absentmindedly looked through the van's window, ignoring the passing cars or the side road fields, left to his own thoughts as his twin, seated next to him, had his headphones on.

As always, the second the van door was closed, Tom would put his headphones on, the music blaring from them so loud that the singer could even distinguish the lyrics in case he wanted to sing along. Not that he wanted to learn them! One of this days his twin would end wearing one of those hearing aids that you could see on adverts on TV. Wouldn't that fit extremely well with his style and image? He smiled amusedly at his twin, who looked at him with a questioning look, ignoring his twins thoughts. He shook his head, letting Tom know that it wasn't anything he had to be bothered with, and fingered again the bracelet.

He looked at it with a fond smile. It was a beautiful piece of jewelry. Big, shiny, simple, looking great on his slender arm. It was very amusing that he was such a magpie, always finding irresistible shiny things that he had to add to his collection. Well in fact this one was a gift.

The day after a particularly great concert, when all of them were sprawled in the media room of the bus, Georg had taken the singer back to the bunks and given him a little box wrapped in silver paper. When he had opened it, and he had seen such a fabulous bracelet, he had thrown himself to Georg and thanked him with a quick kiss. He had asked him to help him with the clasp, and that's how Tom found them when he opened the door, worried by his brother's unexpected squeak that he had heard from the other end of the bus.

“Tell me all this noise wasn't for some new fucking piece of bling...” said the guitarist.

Bill smiled, showing his twin his wrist as he felt his cheeks heating with embarrassment. Sometimes his exuberant personality got the best of him. Just like in previous episodes, he knew that he wouldn't hear the end of this in the near future.

Rolling his eyes, Tom left back to the media room cursing something pretty similar to “silly little brothers that are going to give me a heart attack” under his breath, leaving them alone again. Moments later, the couple could hear Gustav's laughter.

Bill toyed with it a bit more, enjoying the weight of it against his wrist. Truth was that it always made him smile, because it reminded him of that day and the general light atmosphere that had hung over the tour bus. This usually happened after a perfect concert and a night in a fine bed. Today, the atmosphere was quite different, as they were anxious to get home. They all had concentrated faces, as if they thinking hard about it could make the van go quicker and the trip shorter. He turned his body in the seat and smiled, seeing that Georg was dead to the world, with his head resting on the steamed up window.

Having noticed his movement out of the corner of his eye, Gustav turned his head and took in the scene. He couldn't help smiling at this sleeping band mate.

“He is going to have such a stiff neck! He will be unbearable when Saki wakes him up,” Gustav whispered to Bill, his amusement evident in his low voice. “Because there is no way that I am going to wake him up. Being fool enough to do it once and get myself assaulted by him is enough!”

Bill smiled and nodded. He and his brother were late sleepers, but hardly ever woke up as grumpy as Georg could sometimes.

“Remember when he drank himself under the table after the EMAs?” Bill raised his eyebrows.

Gustav snickered, avoiding the potential disaster that was waking up Georg right now.

“I thought that he was going to bite David's head off when he called him in the morning to remind him of that interview. And I was three meters away from David and that minicomputer that he calls a mobile phone!”

Oh my, didn't his lazy feline turn into a growling bear with a thorn in his paw! Or more to the case, a drill in his head.

Fortunately for both of them, Georg woke up on his own half an hour later, just in time to say goodbye to Gustav. Bill took advantage of that stop to quickly change seats, trying to avoid letting the cold wind inside of the van. Now he sat happily in the back with Georg, trying to warm again his hands by rubbing them.

“Oh man, I would kill for a warm fire right now. My hands just froze,” Bill said with a wistful voice.

“Your own fault, for changing seats,” his brother couldn't resist throwing back.

Bill snorted. “For all the attention you pay to me... the world ceases to exist when you put your headphones on!”

“Aw, my little brother feels left out. Don't worry, I'll tell Saki to sit with you on the next trip. I bet that he'll let you cuddle.”

Bill gasped at Tom's come back, trying hard to think of an appropriate response. He heard a suspicious cough coming from his lover, and so couldn't decide who merited more his deathly glare - his irreverent brother or his conniving lover. With an exasperated sigh, he decided that neither of them was worth an answer and turned to look through the window. It was then that he felt a warm hand caress his still cold ones. A smile tugged the corners of his mouth.

Bill, feeling as if sticking his tongue out at his twin was his best comeback, did just that to the back of Tom. Georg smiled at this and spoke low enough for only Bill to hear.

“Sometimes I swear that being twins actually means that each of you are half your age... .”

Bill punched him in his shoulder

“Ouch!” he rubbed the abused muscle. “And sometimes I forget your vicious streak.”

“Do not meddle with twins, I thought that you had already learned that by heart,” Bill said while he rubbed the bassist's shoulder as well, a nearly there smile on his face.

They were finally free of family obligations, and now they could relax and just hang at home doing nothing. Well that was not true, they were going to have a marathon of The Lord of the Rings this afternoon! Tom almost groaned at the memory. Bill and Georg had been plotting in the backseat of the van while coming back home, and as a result, neither Gustav nor him had had much saying in it all, knowing all the details after the afternoon had been completely organized. Couldn't they have picked any other film that was shorter...?

Tom smiled at himself and his lazy temper, chuckling at the idea that he now considered watching a film an over the top stressful activity. When they were on tour they all put so many hours in their job that when they came home they turned into absolute slobs. Their mum had already told them the “You'd better tidy your rooms!” bit before reminding them that she had a job to do and it wasn't to be their maid and wondering how their staff hadn't gone on strike if they created such a mess while on tour. The guitarist thought that even the silly arguments were part of being back home. The truth was, that they missed it when on tour, even their worrying mum who always managed to fuss over them, despite them being adults now and living alone the rest of the year!

“Oh yeah, I know... aha... and have you seen that new shop in Magdeburg? The one with the big yellow banner....That one! We so must check it out!” Bill continued talking into the cordless phone while he strolled up and down the corridor next to the den where Tom was slouched on the sofa, wondering when his brother and Georg had turned to be such a couple of girls. Truth was they talked on the phone almost everyday! He really didn't know what both of them could have to tell each other. The only interesting thing that had happened since they last saw each other was that their grandma, much to their big embarrassment, had given the twins matching jumpers... yet another consecutive Christmas! He swore that she could join her mother and set up the “Overwhelm the Kaulitz twins with mothering” club!

Finally Bill hung the phone and after swatting Tom's feet from the sofa, took a seat on it. He then proceeded to tell Tom everything about his future shop trip. Tom could feel a headache hovering over him. As his brother didn't seem to even need to stop for air, he sighed and interrupted him.

“Bill would you just shut up? I swear that if I hear once more about your shopping trip with Georg I might tape your mouth!”

Bill blinked with surprise at being so rudely interrupted, “It's not as if I asked you to come with us!"
Tom knew that his face was easily read as 'not in a hundred years'.

“But I've heard the whole story more than necessary, considering that you wouldn't catch me dead in those shops you two love!”

It wasn't that he wasn't interested in what his twin's plans for the next week were, but he had already heard the two of them planning this for the last couple of days! He saw the shadow of a pout in his brother's face, and trying to avoid trouble, he asked his brother yet again about the plans for the day.

“But I already told you!” exclaimed an exasperated Bill. “I swear that Dory's short attention spam is nothing compared to yours!”

Turning his body to better see his frustrating so-called big brother, Bill released a big sigh for effect and proceeded to happily tell him about the bought microwave popcorn, the sodas, the gummies and the most important thing, the three parts of The Lord of the Rings ready to be watched. He loved planning things!

-x-

The floor was littered with popcorn, the forgotten artillery of a very serious battle for the remote control, and thus the volume level, that took place after Bilbo's party, just after they voted for which part they were going to see. The break time over, the guys were all engrossed by the film again, fidgeting in place while they saw the Cave Troll attack the forces of light.

“Did you let your hair grow because of this film?” Bill whispered to a very focused Georg, seated next to him in the loveseat, while he took a lock of hair between his fingers.

Georg startled, took his focus away from the screen and raised an eyebrow to the random question of the singer. He looked over to the drummer in the armchair, and the guitarist sprawled over some big pillows on the floor near Gustav. They hadn't heard Bill's question.

“Don't you like it?” teased back Georg, winking wickedly. “I think I can still feel the sting where you pulled at it the other night.”

Damn him, thought Bill. Georg knew exactly what that sexy smirk did to him, in addition to the memories of the great sex they had had a few days ago. He could feel his penis twitch just remembering that night.

“Maybe we both like each others long hair for similar reasons.”

“Oh, I know why I like your long hair. It's because it makes me shiver when you go doumm .... Georg couldn't end the sentence as he found a hand efficiently blocking the air exiting his mouth.

“They do not need to know that!” Bill said through his teeth while he looked at his band mates, checking if they had hear that idiot that was his boyfriend. “And, are you teasing me Georg, getting me riled or trying to make me blush in front of them?” Bill whispered even more lowly.

Georg shook his head, and Bill let his hand fall.

“I was just trying to explain why I like your long hair.” Georg smiled at him trying, and not achieving, to pull of the innocent look. He couldn't help laughing at Bill's unfazed expression.

Hearing the laugh, Tom's attention went from the TV to them, realizing that there was an animated chit chat going on the loveseat.

“I thought that you were the Tolkien lover out of us, Listing. If you aren't going to watch it, go do something worthy like making some more popcorn. There is none left after you attracted them like a magnet, pussy,” Tom laughed.

“If I remember correctly, you had to fish and pick them out of your dreads, so don't go saying that I got them all! Besides, you you took cover behind Gustav, which is very cowardly move on your part, Marley.”

Gustav laughed while the guitarist gave him the bird, not used to being overpowered by both Gustav and Georg. Fearing for his life, the still snickering drummer raised his hands and very ostentatiously turned his attention to what was being shown on the screen. Turning his attention back to the oldest band member, Tom raised one eyebrow, in a move eerily similar to those of Bill, and flicked his lose ponytails over his shoulder, letting the bassist know that he was being ignored. Laughing, Georg took Bill's hand and pulled him with him towards the kitchen.

“Let's make some more popcorn so that we can bury your brother in them.”

A mischievous grin appeared on the singer's face.

“With those big clothes he wears he insists on wearing, we can try to throw them inside them. There's room for many pounds down there!”

“I heard you dear little brother,” screamed Tom to his twin's back.

“I know,” he answered without turning.

-x-

Once inside the kitchen, Bill took two microwave popcorn bags and put the first one inside it. Not wanting to waste the time looking how the bag twirled inside the machine, Bill approached Georg, circling his waist with his arms.

“So, why did you leave your hair grow? You haven't told me. It's almost as if you could be an extra for The Lord of the Rings, it's so long, shinny ...” Bill said, looking at Georg's lips from under his lashes.

Seeing where his lovers eyes rested, Georg gave Bill a quick peck.

“Why did you let yours grow?”

“Because I dreamt of running my fingers through your long hair,” Bill admitted, “and because then I could hide my ears!”

A grinning Georg put a lock of hair behind Bill's ear, and dropped another kiss on the singer's lips. “You know I think they are cute. In fact, they are kind of Elfin!”

He avoided a punch to his shoulder by jumping backwards. He watched the miffed singer with a smile.

“You could have come with me if they looked for a couple more extras!” Georg continued to tease.

“Extras for what?”

They both turned to see the drummer in the kitchen's threshold. In that moment the microwave beeped and Bill went to retrieve the ready to burst bag of popcorn.

“For The Lord of the Rings films,” answered Georg. “Don't you think that the Kaulitz ears are kind of Elfin?”

His brows knitting, Gustav looked to Bill.

“Maybe,” Gustav heard the only Kaulitz present snort. Sensing trouble gathering in the horizon, he opted for a quick retreat while possible. “Are those ready?” he asked Bill, and before the tall boy could answer he spoke again.

“I'll carry them outside for you.”

Saying that, he took the bowl from Bill's hands and did a tailspin, disappearing from firing range.

“You frightened him!” the bassist said.

“He better be. He was going to agree with you!” Bill looked at him intently, and winked. “Besides, I didn't want an audience.”

Georg watched Bill walk towards him, his brown eyes glinting slightly, with the purr of the microwave as the only sound that could be heard in the suddenly silent kitchen.

“Do you think that we could go to your house when the film ends?” Bill suggested, eyelids heavy with lust.

The dark haired boy let his hands glide up over his lover's arms. He then felt Georg's hand caress his lower back, slipping under the t-shirt that he wore despite the cold weather outside.

“Maybe.”

Then the microwave beeped. With a light squeeze to his ass, Georg pushed Bill and went to open the hot packet and empty it in a big bowl.

“Let's feed them and finish the film. Then we'll discuss the night time entertainments.”

-x-

“Warm food for the hordes.”

“Oh now we are the hordes, aren't we Kaulitz? And here I thought that you were an Elf extra...” Gustav replied.

“Huh? What are you talking bout now Gustav?” Tom interrupted the flustered Bill before he could answer the drummer.

“Georg decided that the Kaulitz ears are kind of Elfin and that you would have been wonderful extras for the films... .”

“Well, now that I think about it, with those dreads, Tom could play Davy Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean. He already can hide things in there!” the bassist laughed at the guitarist's not so much amused face.

“Hey!” he tried to dodge a couple of corn seeds that flew his way. Wanting to respond to the air offensive, he tried to grab some corn seeds from the bowl that Bill held. Bill quickly smacked the venturing hand and pulled the bowl closer to himself. In the background, they could hear Gustav barely containing his laughs.

“I want to try them this time,” he glared at both his twin and his lover.

“Oh great! Leave me vulnerable with that evil Elfin twin of yours!”

“I may be Elfin, but you, Listing, you are a Hobbit wanting to be an Elf,” Tom said.

“That was low Kaulitz, even for you!”

Bill rolled his eyes at their usual antics, making himself comfortable in the loveseat with the bowl on his knees. He then felt Georg sat as closely to him as he could without calling it “snuggle”. He smiled and offered him the bowl, thought now and then, a hand would caress another hand while trying to grab some popcorn.

They were watching a beautiful scene with New Zeland's incredible landscape as background, when Tom's loud ring tone made them all groan.

“What a pain in the ass! You could at least change that strident prehistoric melody!” Gustav whined.

“Shut up! You all love it! And don't interrupt me, it's that girl we met the other day.”

“Then go to the kitchen and let us watch this,” Georg added.

“Fine, I'll go, but just because I do not want to make you all jealous.”

-x-

They continued to watch the film, but, unfortunately, Tom had once again forgotten to close the door, so they heard the murmur of his voice as background. Dumb big brother, couldn't do two things at the same time if one of those involved a girl. Bill sighed and took Georg's hand in his, lightly squeezing it.

Bill was happy right in that moment. He had spend some days with his family, comfortable in the familiar house, with their little habits and routines, playing with their pets, seeing their friends. But one of the things that made him happier was being able to spend an afternoon eating junk, joking and simply being with his so very recent lover without having to measure themselves. He had the urge to let his head fall on Georg's shoulder, but that would put his neck in an awkward angle. He snorted.

“What?”

“I was just thinking that my next boyfriend must be taller than me,” he said while he let his fingers scratch Georg’s scalp. He just knew how much the older boy loved that.

“Oh, so are you already dumping me? And what are you going to do, go to basketball competitions to find someone taller that you? Maybe your mum shouldn't have given you spinach!” Georg raised an eyebrow while he spoke, still letting Bill massage his head.

“I am not dumping you! And you know that I hate spinach! But maybe you should have eaten them when you were little,” Bill teased him.

Georg tsked. “Such a brat. You should respect your elders.” He playfully thumped Bill's nose.

“Pfff, what elders?” Bill then let his hand land on Georg’s one, their fingers intertwining.

It was then that they all heard a strange squeak coming from behind them.

“Tom!” Bill screamed after turning around and seeing his brother in the threshold. “You almost gave me a heart attack! I sometimes really wonder how such high noises can come out of your mouth.”

“What.... What are you both doing there? You were practically sitting in his lap!” Tom's voice boomed.

With a sudden move, he advanced until he was in front of the loveseat and pulled his surprised twin from the sofa by grabbing his arm.

“Stop grabbing me as if I was a toy!” Bill shook his brother’s hand from his arm. “Why are you so riled up now? We were just sitting there holding hands! It's not as if you hadn't seen us do stuff before!” Bill raised his voice in outrage.

“Well, we haven't!” an offended Tom boomed.

“As if! Gustav just walked on us kissing in the kitchen!”

“What? What shit are you now trying to dump on me, Bill?” the surprised drummer mumbled.

“Kissing? What have you been doing to my brother, you dumbass?”

Tom tried to reach Georg, but Bill stepped in front of him.

“Move Bill! And Listing, you better start explaining..., and do it quickly before I can even think about it,” growled Tom while Bill tried to restrain him by holding of both his wrists.

Bill looked at Georg, who was still seated in the loveseat, blushing.

“What do you think you are doing, Tom? You step in the room and go crazy like that!” Bill pushed his obnoxious twin. “What the hell! Fuck off, and do not even think of touching him or I swear that I will slap you like the idiot you are behaving like(,)” Bill poked Tom in his chest with his finger.

Before the older twin could take advantage of his freedom of movement, Bill stepped closer to him.

“I told you to move!” Tom insisted.

“No way! You are just being your irrational and hypocritical self again. And they call me diva! I am tired of it!”

“He was almost molesting you!” Tom pointed accusatorily to the still blushing bassist.

“And I enjoyed it! And if you want to know, that's not the only thing he does. Not that you need to know, mind you. I may be your ‘little brother’, but I grew up just as you did!”

Georg wasn’t sure if he should speak for themselves. But he knew what he wasn’t going to do, and that was explain to Tom what he did with his twin when they were alone!

“But look at him! He isn’t even standing up!” Tom snapped.

“You are embarrassing him and me as well! And do not even dare talk badly about us being together. You fuck anything that walks! We at least care for each other!”

“But, how long has this been going on? How didn't we even notice?”

The twins were surprised by Gustav’s sudden question. The drummer had gotten near the bassist and had asked him directly the question with a puzzled face.

“I thought that you both noticed it.... It began when we still were on tour,” answered Georg.

“But he still likes women! He is cheating on you!” Tom accused.

“What are you talking about Tom? Why are you trying to dump shit on us?” Bill said exasperatedly.

Tom took his brother’s arms and pulled him until they were face to face. Bill could see that his twin was mad at them, but he could see that he was worried for him as well.

“After Essen, when we were back at the hotel, I was restless and went to Gustav’s room to borrow his laptop. But I saw some brunette girl enter Georg’s room while I exited my room!”

Bill rolled his eyes. “I can’t believe that you would mistake your own brother for a girl!” He laughed, finding this situation really surreal.

“What!”

“Oh Tom, shut your mouth or you’ll have flies going in there....”

“Is that why you wanted to sit together on the plane to France, when we had those interviews?” Gustav asked, still pensive.

“Yes!” Bill struggled not to scream in frustration. “At least you seem to be thinking about it, because that person who says that is my older brother sure is not!” He pointed to Tom, “All he is doing is yelling at us for no good reason! There have been many many times when we were cozy with each other and thought that you didn’t mind. That we could finally relax as we were with friends and far away from the public eye. And now you are telling me that you didn’t know!”

The singer ran out of air but kept on sending killer stares at his twin. Then, Georg stood up and walked to Bill’s side.

“I thought that you both supported us, that we could act freely when it was just the four of us. Are you saying that I was wrong?” Georg asked while he looked seriously at both Tom and Gustav.

“No,” Gustav immediately answered. He neared the couple and patted Georg’s back. “If both you Tolkien extras are happy with this, then you know you can count on me. We’ll just have to make sure that we all know when you both don’t want to be alone, because I sure do not want to get an eye-full!”

“Thanks Gus,” Bill smiled shily and winked to the drummer.

They all turned their eyes to the fourth band mate, who still seemed not very sure of what to do, think or say.

“This isn’t a prank, is it?” Tom breathed deeply and looked at eyes so similar to his own ones. “Are you sure about it?”

Bill hugged his boyfriend and nodded. Georg squeezed his waist reassuringly.

“Alright.” Tom rubbed his face with his hands and looked at the bassist. “Then it seems that it’s me that needs some adjusting to do...” Tom sighed. “I wouldn’t want you both to feel awkward around me. I would go mad without my pestering little brother nagging me. And I wouldn’t be able to make fun of Georg in the interviews. That’s just not right.”

Bill walked to his brother and embraced him, hiding his face in his brother’s unbound dreads. He breathed in the familiar scent of his twin and smiled. It seemed that all would be as normal as things could be in the band.

“Thanks, little Tomi.”

Tom squeezed him and looked at this two band mates over his twin’s shoulder.

“You’re welcome.... Just tell me all the dirty little secrets that I could use later”
