[G1 Wheeljack]
consider him placed in his workshop of places, while doing an audio-video upload into a.. journal type thingie. that can be accessed by anyone else, really, as far as i'm concerned. so, physical, virtual, comms, i don't care how you respond. ♥
also, a lot of what i'm writing here is my own personal head-canon for Wheeljack and Altihex. it's made up, but only because i think it fits him better than the generic Autobot engineer that blows himself up a lot mask that G1 stuck on him.
*Stalls for a moment trying to think of something huge that had shaped him to be who he is. Carefully sets down the (unidentifiable) tool he's using to work on another (unidentifiable) project. This is his pensive face.* Hm. Well, contrary to popular belief, I was not sparked exploding. Getting into things that I shouldn't get into - yes. But there was not some sort of.. incomplete coding in me that made me explode while playing with my glyph blocks. Up until I wasn't a sparkling, I was everything I am, minus the explosions.
*Spins himself in the fun swivel-y chair he'd made - just for the purpose of being able to spin in it.* I suppose I was pretty neutral, near the beginning of the whole mess on Cybertron. And, seriously, what mech involved in the war isn't going to trace his most defining memory back to their choices in the war? Regardless, I couldn't care less whether or not the Decepticons had issues with the rest of the planet, because it had happened before, believe it or not. As terrible as Cybertronians are at recording their planet's history and then letting it be accessible to everyone - and that's something we could have learned from the humans - not everything was lost or covered up. There had been opposing political factions before, and I wasn't going to get all worked up over a new one like the original Autobots were.
And by "original" Autobots, I mean the ones around before Optimus Prime was around. I don't even think they were called Autobots. But they existed, and they called for action against Megatron's faction as much as the rest of them. Not very peaceful, compared to how we are now. *Quiet chuckle* Not that we're that peaceful anyway, but at least we don't go out of our way to step on humans.
Anyway, yes, my point.
Um, I hail from Altihex. The city-state that exploded a lot, yes, and surprisingly, there were a lot of scientists there. S'probably why it exploded so much? I'm not so sure about that. *Taps over his chest, where the white, green, and red touch.* Part of the reason I've stuck with a white paint job - and yes, it's supposed to be white, not this.. grey color - even though I explode myself a lot. It's tradition for Altihex. Sparklings were painting in the uniform white color once they got their basic plating upgrades, and for a while, they experimented around a lot with additions to the white. Each design is pretty much unique to each mech. *He's missed talking about Altihex, even if a lot of the things he says don't make sense to a lot of mechs. A lot have given him odd looks when he talked about keeping the paint job tradition - after all. It's a paint job. But, that's just something that's hard to explain to someone...*
But, what made me abandon the neutral ways and join the Autobots, yeah. Wasn't Ratchet (I'm pretty sure he was already an Autobot by then, really), wasn't anyone else. Only when Altihex fell to the Decepticons - and I mean fell. That was the first Decepticon-made wasteland on Cybertron. One day, there, and just.. the next...
I grew up there. I learned there and I had friends that still lived there. It was like when Praxians watched Praxus fall, when the Helix Gardens were destroyed. Only, I think there was a lot more awareness of that than Altihex. That's what made me, I guess. Minus the millivorns of war, which shapes a mech just as much as where they were sparked, raised, and educated.
*Quiet for a moment, trying not to feel that clench around his spark. Of course, that's like trying not to see with your optics online, so pretty much the only thing he knows to do is to keep himself busy again. Perks up at an interesting idea.* I wonder if Prowl has any crystal plants like from the Helix Garden.. *This, of course, is only him musing out loud and wondering if it were possible to make a similar crystalline plant that could exist in this world's settings. It would be something to keep his processor off of things less.. pleasant.*
