[At some point in the last few days, a new girl's appeared on the Chalice, in a unit looking suspiciously similar to the Desu units Nanohana and Eri fly, and with a generally permanent smile on her face. When confronted:] Ah, I don't think we've met. I'm Sora Myoudouin; I'm a pilot. It's a pleasure to meet you.

You PreDesu like Nanohana-Senpai?

Yes, I am- [She stops, noticing the small thing in front of her.] Wait, did you just talk? Not that I'm not used to small talking animal-looking things, but...

[A deep breath.] Yes, I'm part of Project PreDesu, the same as Himesaki-san... Do you know her? [Because Sora sure doesn't.]

(Tatsu nods.)

Tatsu just started talking.

Nanohana-Senpai is Tatsu's senpai. Nanohana-Senpai teaching Tatsu about being human.

[It takes Sora a moment to work out the chain of 'senpai' in that, then:] She's teaching you... how to be human? I'd ask why you picked her, but I guess that's not important. Is it going well?

[Oh, hey, it's the previously mentioned Nanohana! She's noticed the new Desu unit, which means there's another on board! She races to find and meet this new pilot... only to accidentally bump into her. She's quick to apologize to her.]

I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I-I was looking for someone a-and... [she stops and calms down a bit.]

S-Sorry... I-I'm Nanohana Himesaki. Please, call me "Hana". ...you said you were Sora, right?

[sunshine_maiden]

[Sora moves to catch Hana before she falls, but retracts her hand once it turns out not to be necessary.] Don't worry about it, I'm just fine.

Ah, so you're Himesaki-san... er, Hana-san, then. Yes, I'm Sora Myoudouin. My Desu Itsuki is in the hangar.

Y-You're the new Desu pilot?!

...I-I'm not being replaced, am I?

Of course not! I'm being sent as reinforcement, to help you out. I hear you and Eri-san have been having some trouble out here, and I'd like to help in any way I can.

Ah sure why not. I haven't done anything of the sort for ages. [Eri is loosening up, rolling up her sleeves and stretching out.]

[sunshine_maiden]

You'll be my opponent, then? [She settles into a stance again.] I won't hold back just because we're teammates. Give me your best. [She has only a vague idea of Eri's strength, but waits and sees if the other girl will charge in.]

All right, same to you! Here I come!

[And pushing off, she charged headlong into battle. Typical Eri. But she's throwing a rather fast punch combo, using her smaller frame to get in close.]

[Just as expected from Eri, a fast attack with no waiting. Eri's small enough to make ducking risky, so Sora will have to find another way to dodge, which ends up being backward after each attack; she blocks the last hit or two, looking for either an opening or Eri overextending herself.]
