In watching the game from the US, I was very disappointed with the crowd, at least through regulation, unless the TV coverage didn't do it justice. With about 3 minutes left it seemed the crowd was sitting on it's hands, whereas if my team were 3 minutes away from it's goal, I would expect to be on my feet screaming and living and dying with every play. But again, maybe it was just the way the TV coverage made it look. Curious as to the view from somebody who was there.
And typical of most sporting events right after they happen, I think the game was romanticized entirely too much. It was an average played game, with the Canadians seeming to carry play for the most part. But since it had an exciting, close finish, the game is being remembered for being far better than it was. The first matchup between the teams seemed to be played at a much higher level.
