I saw this when I was surfing friends of friends, and you don't know me from Adam, or I you (well, Eve, in this case), but I wanted to say (a) thanks for the work you're doing and (b) the decision to cancel Latin is a real loss for the schools you teach for. I teach classics at the college level, and I'm very grateful to all the people like you who keep the field alive in high schools.

Arcus is...not much better than he was last summer. But that's still much better than he was a year ago this time...Anyway, still not much short-term memory, and he's getting kind of depressed/frustrated with not being able to learn. He was supposed to take AP Latin this semester but they withdrew him from that as he was not doing well in AP German first semester.

As for this insanity of phasing out Latin - I'll be keeping that in prayer too, and for opportunitys to open up.
