The Girl Talk album Night Ripper was the first thing that'd made me dance in years. I never dance for any reason, it just never happens, but the evening of the NIght Ripper there was just no choice.

I could never figure out my favorite part of that album. The random Boston song? The Nirvana? That moment you realize that it's the Pixies in that one song? The Pixies? It's like it overestimates a person's musical education instead of the opposite. But then they threw in Steve Windwood to make sure it wasn't perfect. I wish they had more stuff on Youtube.

Here in Denver, as of today, we've only had 2 good rumbly thunderstorms this year. And one was back in the wintertime. WTF? I guess I need to make it to the next Tesla Coil Builder's Association meet, to get my zap on. (Lightning's cool, but I also like taking 18" sparks into my body without getting killed.)

Have heard, and love.

We usually get one thunderstorm a year with lightning... this year we've had a couple. Last night's was the most active one I've "seen", though not the most spectacular... that was in September of 2003, where the clouds were dark slate blue and the lightning was red and white. It was off on the horizon and me and my homies sat out on a balcony and drank exceptional red wine and cheered.
