Mm, I haven't read the manga, but I just polished off the first season of the anime, and it's another one of those series where you end up loving every single character. *_*

One of my friends, trickster that he is, decided he was going to give my suitemate a gift but put her through this...wild goose chase first. We sent her a letter saying that she'd be invited to a literary secret society of some kind, then put together a treasure hunt, during which she had to run around campus looking for clues and looked generally silly. :D I think my favorite part, though, was wrapping the gift with about a million layers of garbage bags, newspaper, shaving cream, sanitary napkins, boxes, Easy Cheese, and whatever random stuff that we could find. And basically, at the end of it, she ended up with The Little Mermaid on DVD.
