Dear LJ Genie

Dear LJ Genie,

I need a support device for my window-based air conditioner. Everyone in the city seems to have them, so I know they exist, but I have not been able to find one online.

Anyone know of a device that will keep the pedestrians on Broadway safe from my behemoth of an a/c unit?

I've seen bolt into the brickface support platforms, but wouldn't know where to go about getting one. You can always try the wood block bracing into your window option.

How sad is it that I read the above as needing a support device for your WINDOWS based air conditioner.

I am such a nerd. :)

A Windows air conditioner would take ten hours to set up, try to integrate itself with your dishwasher and microwave, and come with a secret camera that sends images of you in the kitchen to Proctor and Gamble.

We bought ours at either the housewares store or the hardware store on Bway between 113 and 114 -- I can't remember which because they are owned by the same people and the staff will run to the other one to get you what you need if you go to the wrong one.
