Hey, thanks to all of you who replied to my last post. I think I have a better idea now what it'd be like to live in LA or the Bay Area (which are my two top choices right now). It's funny how LA in particular triggers such polarized reactions from people...either you absolutely love it there, or you wish half the people there would drop dead of

If buying a car and learning to drive is a deal-breaker, then the Bay Area's your man. I absolutely loved the public transportation there. (Though according to a friend of mine in SF, the public transit in the East Bay [where I was] is far superior.)

P.S. If half the population of LA did drop dead, then it would be Meh Nothing Special. It's the drawbacks, such as the overpopulation, that make it "special." :P
