This may be one of the last updates from me for awhile, unfortunately. i have to hunt and peck type since my left hand is no longer functioning normally. my nurse came friday and didn't want me to stay alone so larry was able to stay over that night and michelle did duty last night. i am so grateful to both of them but realize it's not doable. It rained all day yesterday and nearly all of last night, as well. I had one of my pain days again. Poor Michelle, she came in to do my grocery shopping anyway. I felt bad to have her come out on such a dismal day and with me feeling terrible, too. We had sort of planned to have her color my hair again but I just wasn't up to it. I've had another one of my up and down weeks. Lost a couple of days to the liquid morphine and sleep. I was supposed to have a visit from one of the women I used to work with on Tuesday but had to cancel because I was in so much pain. I did talk to her on the phone the next day, though, and that was almost as good as a visit. She filled me in ( Read more... )

I'm back from my doctor visit. Larry cut it pretty close this morning and didn't get to my house til 11:10 for my 11:15 appointment. Eeep. But it was okay. I am only five minutes from the clinic and had to wait a few minutes anyway so it didn't matter. I've lost another 15 pounds (20 by my scale) in the past month but the doctor was glad to ( Read more... )

Once again the days have gone by without me noticing. I was doing fairly well until Tuesday when the bad pain started. I took the liquid morphine early that morning but it really wasn't having the usual effect. It was several doses and a few hours until I finally fell in to an exhausted sleep. It's been so long since I've actually gone to the store myself that I can only go by what I remember. No more impulse buying, that's for sure.
