Happy Memorial Day! Man, it's hot outside. It's about 90 degrees. In May. This isn't unheard of for Michigan, but it's not really that fun. Last night we had some severe thunderstorms across the state. Poor Violet (my dog) was shaking so much she shook herself to sleep. And now she has to contend with this heat. So much love for this episode. The landscape Xena rides across, not to mention the desolate waste that makes up the Amazon land of the dead. Xena crying out while in her leather and horns before the bonfire was a pretty powerful scene. Also, just her hesitating before the mountain in the land of the dead before going back... man I love this show so much when it gets stuff right like this. Can't wait for the next episode review!

I can't wait either. Part of the motivating factor for me to do these reviews is to realize that I really want to watch the next episode and cant until I review. Now I just need to decide if I watch part 2 tonight or tomorrow.

These are the big decisions in my life.
