Which mp3 type player should I get?

So basically I'm thinking of finally purchasing an ipod or something like that. It's really my upcomming trip to colorado that got me thinking I may want to look into it. I figure since I'll be flying alone from Atlanta and meeting up wiht people in denver I may want to grab one. Perhaps put to good use my 2000 songs I've downloaded over the

Ipods are whored out but because they're so popular theres alot of support and crap for them. If something goes wrong you can probably get it fixed pretty easily and if you need cables or whatever they'll be there. Unlike lesser brands which all that can be questionable.

Beyond that id just say look at price vs. size, I mean, mp3 is mp3 pretty much I cant imagine there really being a big difference.

I think thats the cycle that ipod is in. THey're so popular and have so much support even if another product is a bit better nobody buys it because of ipod and their control! Kinda like microsoft...

I really havent heard anything bad about them just stuff like kerb saying they're gay. Thats probably one of those "dont follow the crowd" type reasonings.

I was concerned with the few video formats that it accepts but I guess you could just convert to the one you want. But really who uses a 2.5" screen to watch a lot of video?

I'll check out what they have at bestbuy or circuit city and mess around with them and decide i guess.
