Welcome back! [confetti]

It's great that you have a job that you like, even if it's only temporary. Though I'm surprised a swimming program would only be for a month.

Doctor Who love! :D I don't really feel the Rory and Amy love (which I think is an unpopular fandom opinion, kind of, but then I tend to have unpopular opinions), but I don't hate them, and I do agree River is pretty damn awesome! Nine's run is awesome (Nine is my favorite NuWho Doctor, though, so I may be biased), but I'm not much of a Ten fan. (Another unpopular opinion, heh...) Donna, however, is the best companion of ALL TIME. Well, one of the best. Are you planning on watching any Classic Who?

It's actually six weeks, (8, actually, this year) but I'm only working the last four weeks. We are pretty broke. If we had more students, I'd likely be there full time. as it is, most of the time we have more teachers than students, which is bad.

I think Amy is way too immature and self-centered. She's always looking out for what she wants over everything else, and it gets annoying. Rory is far too good for her. I mean, they make this big deal about "I waited twelve years for the Doctor! wah wah you promised five minutes!" but Rory stayed with her, alone, for 2,000 years. I'd say he wins for loyalty. With all the shit Amy pulls, he should've dumped her ass, but he still loves her and is willing to devote his life to her. Not sure what he sees in her, but I respect him for that. So, not a fan of Amy, and not really a fan of their relationship, but I adore Rory. Even if he dies every five minutes. It's not like no one else on Doctor Who ever does that. XD ( ... )

Yeah, I can understand that. Thirty-fourty plus years of the Doctor is a lot to take in.

My reasons for the "blah" are kind of silly: series five and six was the first time I decided to kind of participate in fandom and the discussions, and the constant wank debates about the two (and River) just kind of turned me off the two permanently. There was drama about the previous companions, but I didn't actually see it unfold in real time. I'm just like... whatever, you guise, have fun with your dramu. I'll be over here, watching the Doctor kick ass. xp

I really like how we always meet River in the wrong order. It's great and really cool. But I'm not a fan of the River/Doctor story, tbh. ^^; The Doctor knowing her from birth kind of makes me raise an eyebrow, but I'm not a fan of Doctor pairings, so that might be it.

see, that's why I avoid message boards and forums and chatrooms, it's ALWAYS like that no matter what the topic is. XD
