Gaaaaah! That sounds really scary. Being near shouting angry people is terrifying. I'm really glad that P has your back on this, and I really hope that it doesn't escalate further. *hug*
I'm so glad the landlady isn't taking their shit and J is holding her (rightful) ground. And if I was living near people like that I would have hid too. I hope things ease up and don't hesitate to sic the landlady on those awful people. *hugs*
Sigh, see my new edit. What they're apparently getting from the landlady is "I don't care what you work out as long as I don't have to deal with it anymore," whereas what we're getting is "one car one space like in the lease." I don't know if that's differing interpretations or differing messages, but J is far, far better at holding her ground than I could ever hope to be. I, of course, would have given up parking in the driveway at the first hint of trouble.
The only real solutions I can imagine is working out a schedule so rigid, and so negotiated-in-advance, that the upstairs neighbors would move their extra car every morning without J having to ask - or doing a meet-and-switch-cars event every night according to who has to leave first in the morning.
Now, of course, I'm sure the neighbors are even more pissed off and convinced J is a "crazy bitch," words they audibly use in both the front and back porches and stairwells where we can hear what they're saying, but not to her face.
