Zipcars...

Zipcars are a nice idea but not if they haven't expanded to your area yet. In fact, the web site won't even let you do a cost comparison (just to see if you want to hold out for zipcar rather than buy a car) until they are in your area. I think they ought to at least let you run the numbers on a theoretical basis

What a cool concept. Lexington is so behind the times, we just got the YellowBike. Although I don't know how long this is going to last. Lexington doesn't have bike paths and Lexington drivers are NOT bike-friendly. Too, the people don't treat the bikes well at all. I saw pictures on a dude's Flickr account just last night of a bike that apparently had had firecrackers attached to it, lit, and set on fire. The bike was a wreck.
