Outside the circle. Outside the light.

Twin points of red hovered in the darkness, watching, waiting.

An Angel of Death for a god of retribution.

Parting from Integral at her signal to go; the small vampire sensed a disturbance and turned toward it, catching a glimpse of Xulchibara's retreat. Eyes narrowing, the vampire withdrew his Tommy gun and surged forward, coat flapping out behind him.

Before he could reach, he stopped. Dead.

"Walter."

Walter had no response, but stepped from the shadows into Alucard's path. A flicker of movement, almost a bow, and the familiar flash of wire intercepted the deceptively small vampire.

The vampire stopped, uncertain for a moment, eyes narrowed, pupils fixed as though tasting the atmosphere. As the wires came up, eyes widened and pupils dilated. Hissing in a breath, the vampire bared tusk like fangs and snapped forward, aiming a slap to Walter's cheek.

"Fool! I gave you that blood and I will take it away!"

Rescue banditfox April 8 2007, 23:31:23 UTC
Kurama woke to the sound of fighting, still warded, still bound, and still alive. It took a moment for him to process the last of those realizations, because he couldn't quite remember why it was important. Where were his friends? He could feel none of their signatures, except ... Was Hiei nearby? The kitsune managed to roll to his knees before weakness and dizziness forced him to stop and gather himself.

The others were missing, he suddenly remembered, because they were safely at home while he and Hiei were trapped in the City. He remembered Xulchibara and the ritual, and ground his teeth in frustration at his helplessness.

Ignoring everything that was happening below, Alexiel descended from the sky with Nanatsusaya on hand. This wasn't her battlefield, her right to fight but others and the former Great Organic angel respected that. She had come for something less violent, a promise of liberation.

Her aura was warm enough to provide the wounded fox some of the energy he lost back, her blade gave him freedom with a struck.

"Kurama. Arise."

The fox's head came up sharply as he felt Alexiel's aura lending him strength. His hands fell to his sides as the chains were cut, and he gingerly put out his good arm to push himself to his feet. He made it, somehow, although he swayed unsteadily, his broken arm cradled loosely against his broken ribs.

"Thank you."

The monster was finished, or as finished as Hiei cared to take part in. Now, the reason for his innitial appearence, where was Kurama? A quick survey of the area told him; Kurama wasn't very far off. He seemed slightly revivified, something had healed him.

Hiei flitted over to his partner, "Kurama," was all he said.

Temporary exit. Returning soon revelations9x6 April 8 2007, 23:36:13 UTC
The gun report broke the silent reunion on the dias, and Xulchilbara's burning eyes snapped up in time to see the Executioner bellow his angry challenge to the swarm of bats.

His Executioner was partly obscured by winged bodies, but the God was taking no chances....Walter's memory told him who this was.

The vampire Alucard was trespassing on sacred ground.

Without a word to Alessa, Xulchilbara pulled the darkness of her shadow around the three of them.
As it closed over Alessa's form, He sent a sharp command to the Angel of Death, then shadow-stepped himself, and his children from the clearing.

Exiting, and NOT returning alessalearnt April 9 2007, 03:56:25 UTC
Alessa gave Xulchibara a look of alarm mixed with panic as they appeared back into the mansion. She rushed over to the god and Serpent, every nerve in her body on edge. "Red One, there's so many of them - what will we do?" She asked. She resisted the urge to look at Henry; there were far more important things to deal with. The time to have a joyful reunion would have to wait. Right now, Pyramid Head was under attack, and he needed help. If they didn't stop the large group that was fighting in the clearing, they would eventually come to the mansion, and...

Alessa shuddered, not wanting to think about what would happen if things got that far. "Give me orders, Xulchibara. You know that I can fight, you know that more than anyone. Tell me what to do."

Not my will, but Thy will be done, she sent out to him silently. When it came to emergencies, there was no room for disobedience, and this definitely was an emergency.

The Red God was exhausted before the fighting had broken out, but he could hear the cries of rage from the Executioner. Feel the blades and blows that were hacking his weapon apart piece by piece...

...There was no time to return properly prepared for battle, and certainly no time to regain his strength.

"TaKe HeNrY HoMe, AnD SeAl ThE HoUsE, ReGaRdLeSs oF WhO ReQuEsTs EnTrAnCe." The God knew he could pass through his own wards without trouble, but Alessa, Henry and possibly Rangiku would be able to exit or return if the grounds were sealed.

" I wIlL NoT AbAnDoN ThE ExEcuTiOnEr, nOr AlLow aNy oF tHeM To FiNd YoU, HeNrY oR RaN."

Eyes blazing he looked down at her, and called the darkness to his hand, but before he folded Alessa and Henry in the shadowy door, he leaned down and kissed her in farewell.

" Do nOt CoMe BaCk FoR uS"....

....And she was gone.

Being rescued... henkonasuisho April 9 2007, 01:19:02 UTC
Her head was spinning, out of control, nothing above and below.

She tried not to breathe, move, even open her eyes; it was just all too painful.

Thinking, breathing, existing...

...Pain....
Her soul had been violated, torn without her permission. Blood seeping from small but deep gashes, chest rising and falling in a false attempt to breathe, a gaping hole in her soul that would take time to close. She wasn't aware of much at the moment, just how much her body protested existing. Her hands and ankles bound by nests of bloodied wire and coils of wire strangling the life out of her. She heard the others waking, creatures hissing. Would they finish the job of disposing of the sacrifices ( ... )

moving along then... henkonasuisho April 9 2007, 03:41:12 UTC
Minutes, maybe hours passed and there was footsteps and something against her throat. For a moment, she thought it death's blade, coming to claim her for good, but the only thing that fell was the pressure of the wire digging into her throat. Using what minuscule energy her own body allowed to be used elsewhere, she forced eyes to open. A green topped mass, humanoid, and moving quickly. The smell of metal, weak musk, and dragon scales... Masaki, the one she was proud to call brother. She thought that he was angry at her, she supposed she was wrong ( ... )

Being Rescued. blue_rush April 9 2007, 01:51:18 UTC
The scene was all too familiar to Lilly. Hostages were all around her. The hostages had been used for some arsine ritual. For some reason she didn't care about them. Perhaps it was the tired feeling. Perhaps it was having a piece of her taken away. Either way, Lilly Rush didn't care. All she wanted was for somebody to rescue her.

Then she wanted to sleep. Sleep for a long long time. Maybe a hot meal or two would be wonderful.

"...help..." she said. For "said" is all she had the strength to do.

Lobsel Vith and Stan had made it to the scene just moments after the ritual appeared to be done. The Yellow God, the anti-thesis to the Red God was also witnessed to a large group destroying the angel of Blood.

"Remember. We're just here to rescue the Hammer. Not do anything violent." She whispered to Stan. "Now come on."

Truth be told if Stan could he would have attacked Pyramid Head and his master. Alas he could not, but most importantly he would not. He scanned the area. His eyes finally settling on a pale woman with blonde hair. She was kneeling down. Her head was slumped down. A hammer had been chained to her right arm.

"Looks like she may have got off easy." Stan said.

He made his way to the woman. He made sure to avoid the action. The last thing he wanted was for the Marked to find him and kill him again. When he made his way to the woman he asked, "Lilly Rush?"

She heard the voice. Was it the voice of a savior? At that point she couldn't tell. She lifted her head up. She saw a man offering his hand to her. Behind him she saw a woman. She looked familiar to Lilly.

"Lilly...yes." She told the man.

"Get me out. Help. Please."
