I expected it to, but there wasn't any coconut taste. I've noticed that with coconut milk-based ice creams where coconut is meant to be one of the flavors, they add coconut extract and/or toasted coconut to boost the flavor. So I guess it's pretty normal not to taste the coconut in coconut milk-based ice creams.
I've eyed the Coconut Bliss, but the prices - yow! That's clearly a once in awhile treat, not a regular treat. ;) Each quart of homemade ice cream will run me around $4-$4.50 (of which most of that, $3, is the coconut milk), and a quart lasts for awhile, so that I can manage. :)
