[Eggman just so happens to be walking in the forest this day, looking for innocent animals to capture for an experiment or two. He's sticking to the path so far, wondering where a good spot to actually enter the forest would be.

But what's this? An animal just wandering around on the path ahead of him. Some weird looking bird. Perfect! Probably kind of big compared to his usual catches, but it saves an annoying trip into the wilderness. Here goes nothing!]

Ah ha! [Eggman begins a full on sprint towards the red bird, launching himself into the air and diving towards it as he gets closer.] Gotcha!

Really? Man, what wimps! I never give up! [Kazooie puffs out her chest proudly, her red feathers ruffling as she does so, and gestures grandly with one wing.] No stupid barrier is gonna stop me!

Maybe it needs a couple of Jiggies or somethin'. That's usually how it went in the last game!

Well, I beat Grunty's fat butt twice, revived dumb useless Goggle-Boy without anybody telling me how to use that stupid B.O.B. machine, revived King Dingaling or whoever from being a zombie, collected one-hundred-and-ninety Jiggies, beat CANARY MARY four times... and nobody here has a clue! You think you have problems.

[She huffs and crosses her wings, almost as much of a petulant child as Eggman.]

We need more recognition, here! What's with a place that doesn't know you?!

Still... she assumes a half-crouch, feathers vibrating slightly with anticipation, and then darts closer to Eggman, intending to Wing Whack him again - this time as a whirling dervish of red feathers.]

Then prepare to be disappointed.

[This time, Eggman's ready for Kazooie when she moves to attack. He swiftly hops out of her way (something that shouldn't be so easy for someone of his size) and ends up to her side, slightly behind her.]

[She's stuck, a moment, in this uncomfortable half-turning pivot, her talons scrabbling for purchase in the dirt. Eggman has a pretty wide opening to exploit - will he take it?]

Take this! [Eggman swipes an open palm in the direction of Kazooie, specifically aiming at her filial wings, something he knows is a weak spot, especially for New Feathers.]
