Stunning work, love. Snagged the A/R wall; I've been looking for a new desktop for longer than I care to say and am... lacking the skills to make one of my own.
I hope you don't think it intrusive of me to ask as I don't wish to steal your style or anything, but, do you use your gradients as actual gradient layers or as texture layers?
Not intrusive at all, and in fact, a very good question!
I guess you could do either; upload it as a gradient map or copy/paste as a texture. I use it sort of as a texture, usually setting the brownish pink ones to multiply for that soft, pink look and adding layers of curves, color balance, and duplicates of the base over that. I was thinking about doing a tutorial using the gradients and I may still do that if I get around to it. :D
I gave it a try with some of chaoticfae's textures and the first gradient in the second row. I have to admit that I've tried getting these vibrant backgrounds before but to no avail. I think, probably, because I stopped with the blend modes of the textures and never did anything to enhance them more. Turns out curves was in fact the necessary step so thank you!
I shall love you for-evah Stiner if you do a tutorial (I still love you though). I love your work, very unique - and and the way you incorporate colours and contrast together, and texture and - QUEEN OF GRADIENTS. lol.
