Technical issues

I just realised I should post a message about this here as well as in my other LJ. Long story short, I'm having some technical issues which, amongst other things, have brought my writing to a halt for the last week. Normal updates will resume as soon as I can manage it.

It's probably going to be a while. My four year old laptop is in the process of dying and the amount Dell would charge to fix it is only £10 short of the price of a new netbook, so I just have to hope that it keeps working intermittently until I can scrape together enough cash to replace it, but at the moment Amazon is the cheapest source for the model hubby recommends and we might get some Amazon vouchers for Christmas/my birthday, so we'll see...

Fingers crossed. I'll feel guilty if hubby ends up spending his vouchers on it, but not so guilty that I'd say no. We'll just have to wait and see and hope the price doesn't go through the roof (for one supplier it jumped from £225 to £265 when they got their new stock in) thanks to the pound being crap at the moment.
