Okay, gender stereotyping has long been a pet peeve of mine and a prime example of it has always been the McDonald's Happy Meal toys where you choose between a doll/pony or a truck/car. These are usually well known brands, so you could easily ask Hot Wheels or Barbie ( Read more... )

Maybe the MLP toys have a boy character? Ahahaha wishful thinking that that's what they meant. But sadly, a lot of people aren't open to/willing to consider the possibility that "Hey, people don't always fall under a neat little category." Personally, I'd prefer if they asked using the brand/franchise of the toy rather than "boy or girl" :/ Like, say, "Power Puff Girls or Ben 10?" Over here, they just ask "Which toy do you want, ma'am-sir?" (yes, Ma'am-Sir ;_; we have our own fail)
