I likewise fail at breakfast. It's always too much effort to make for me. What I ended up doing was making fruited yoghurt because I can make it in batches of 3 or 4 and since it's there and ready, I'll eat it. All it is is fruit (I've been doing apples and pears), some kind of sweetener (I use honey, but you could do agave or maple syrup), spice (cinnamon/nutmeg), a handful of rolled oats, and sometimes nuts. It works with basically any flavour of yoghurt, though I get the massive tub of vanilla mostly.

(Sorry about dumping the recipe if you aren't interested, but I've had LJ comment fail lately.)

Actually, that's a GREAT idea. A few days ago, I took a bunch of fruit and made smoothies with it. Plain yogurt, fruit, milk and some wheatgerm. It actually didn't taste too bad, especially once I put a little orange juice in there. Kind of gave me some pep, but I like the idea of using honey, too.

Anyway, feel free to share recipes ANY time. I'm starting to get really interested in cooking again, and I could use all the help anyone can offer.

Poor Sephie! Try not to knock yourself over not knowing she was that sick. Sounds to me like you are doing a bang up job of being a mom, you have no reason to feel guilty.

The things you mention in this post are some of the very reasons I am a firm believer in breast feeding.

Thank you! I'm really trying to do my best. Sometimes, it just doesn't feel like enough, though. Sigh.

I wouldn't trade breastfeeding for anything in the world. Seriously, nothing. It's just SO worth it, on so many different levels. I really feel sorry for women who can't or won't. I don't think they deserve to be disparaged for their choice, but I wonder if they know everything they're missing out on.
