Guess having something to do doesn't *guarantee* I'll post. Sheesh!

To be fair, though.... ( My tale of annoyance! )

Also Starbuck! Maya! And I still think Zefferelli's is the most authentic Romeo and Juliet ever! I did an essay in my Shakespeare class in college explaining why Mercutio was killed off--basically if Juliet had met him first, melancholic Romeo wouldn't have gotten a foot in the door! LOL Got an A+ from a prof who never gave A's.

I loved Judson Scott in the Phoenix and Star Trek too, and Jon-Erik Hexum in Voyagers.

You and I were the only ones who watched Lucan! LOL

Heeee!!

YES! I adored Mercutio. If he'd have been let alone, he'd have killed Tybalt (he was the better swordsman). And, being a cousin of the Prince, he'd have maybe been exiled for a year or something, but nothing too big.

And then R&J would have announced their marriage, though Tybalt didn't deserve to die.

If Romeo had had a brain cell, he'd have told Mercutio, and Mercutio would have come up with a *much* better plan than 'fake death', omg.

Tanith Lee re-wrote that story in a most marvelous way, it's called 'Sung in Shadow' - utterly gorgeous.

Yes! The Phoenix! That was cool. I also liked Jan-Michael Vincent in 'Air Wolf'.

I think we were. Oooh, Lucan. (I was so mad at the scientist all the time who tried to force him to 'act human' and 'act normal'. BAH.)

Right? Awesome!
Ex-SO was not a fix-it/handyman type *at all*, and I have no friends of that stripe, either. My brothers are good at that kind of thing, but they live an hour+ away, so.....

Oh dear, the blocked sink /garbage disposal sounds disgusting, I can only imagine the stench! I've had blocked and leaking sinks before but I've never had a garbage disposal unit. Thank goodness it was repaired without too much expense.
I loved Mowgli but I don't recall Lucan, perhaps it wasn't shown in the UK. I think the 'lost boy/savage boy' scenario is always appealing/intriguing, and why the Tarzan stories are so popular. :)

I hate hate hat GDs, and am so glad mine is now GONE. No matter what I did - hardly using it for food, putting cut up lemons, baking soda, vinegar down the drain - it always stunk. Blech.

Lucan was short-lived, so yeah, probably never hopped across. I loved it, though.

Funnily enough, I read the original Tarzan book (and a couple other), and he did not appeal *at all*. I mean...he teaches himself to read and write from some books he finds when he's like...8 or something? That's just nuts. I couldn't suspend my disbelief, heh.

Oh good grief, that sounds like a dreadful way to start the day! Glad you got it sorted.

I remember the kitchen sink in my very first flat backing up, and I had to phone my dad to get talked through how to unblock it - uncoupling pipes underneath etc. Somehow half a potato had got into the pipe which given the sink plug had a grate on it, I think was worthy of having its own magic act in Vegas!

Homg! Are you sure it didn't just....GROW THERE!
*dun dun duuuuuuuuuun!!*

:D

I'm glad it's sorted, too - and the sink smells so much better! The whole affair never drained properly from the start.

I hadn't thought of that. It was a new build block of flats, so I was the first occupant, but I suppose the potato could have been growing in the piping when it was installed.

You could have solved a 30+ year mystery! :)
