Wednesday was my grandmother's birthday. She would have been 81. Ten years ago she had her last birthday.

Yesterday was flag day and also the birthday of more than one person who has tried to ruin my life. It is always a funny day to me. And yes, a stupid holiday.

I'm very glad you left a forwarding link. I followed it and was glad to have a chance to read how you are, what's been going on, what you're reading. I went to buy Another Water by Roni Horn based on the few lines you shared. It was expensive! Must be out of print. I'm still considering it because I know you read good things. What's more important than buying a book?
