Running 138 minutes, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the shortest film in the ongoing series yet. Thank you for this amazing review.

Something has shifted in my life that I didn't get midnight showing tickets for this. Just a year and a half ago for "Goblet of Fire" I was waiting in line for eight hours in cold New York November weather. Things in life have gotten sufficiently complicated that I couldn't make it happen, but Jeff and I saw Transformers last night and I had many chats with the excited costumed people in line. I'm sure I will break down and take myself to see it tomorrow while Jeff is at work, and your review has made me more excited.

Now...Book 7...hurry!!!!

I have to admit that I sort of stumbled into the midnight showing. I had just gotten today off because I'm working Saturday instead, and I happened to come across the midnight showings last night. This was shocking to me as the release dates on all the posters (including the one at the theater I saw it in last night) list the release date as being the 13th... I bought the tickets and ended up going to see it by myself (which is something I always find strange). I found myself getting pretty wrapped up in the whole affair, and I was assisted by a very enthusiastic audience. I don't give a fuck how good your home theater is (and mine is very nice), nothing can ever beat seeing a movie with a bunch of people that are really into it... hell, seeing the first two Star Wars prequels at the Ziegfield opening night managed to convince me that I had seen a good film for a few days afterward ( ... )
