Proper Dishwasher Etiquette

It takes a lot to make me really mad, but I still have my pet peeves. One of them is not practicing proper dishwasher etiquette. Call it PDE if you want, but don't confuse that with partial differential equation, even though you can get on my good side easily by doing both of these PDEs well. Once the dishwasher's unloaded and ready for new dirty dishes, for the love of all that is holy, put new dirty dishes in the dishwasher and not in the sink.

WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. Are they afraid to be the first one to step forward and dirty the currently clean dishwasher? Do they think the sink is lonely.

I don't understand either. The sink is not lonely. It has other appliances to keep it company. Mine has soap, a sponge that dearly needs to be replaced, and the coffee maker and toaster next to it. It doesn't need crap inside it when the dishwasher is lonelier.
