'I live in England' and 'I am living in England' That reminds me of one of my English teachers fervently trying to explain HOW WRONG (AND WHY) it was to say "I am loving you" instead of "I love you" and while I still remember that and always think of it when I hear it "the wrong way" in songs or something, I, uh, have long forgotten exactly why. Something along the lines of it being a temporary present feeling if you say it like that? I don't know.

I'm actually kind of relieved that you haven't read the books! It seemed like, I dunno, an OOC thing for you to do, or to enjoy them at least. But I'm totally planning to read these fics myself. :D
I really hope you enjoy them! I'm trying to parse why I love Near Miss so much, and I can't quite get there. There's just something so wonderfully solid about the relationship.
