Knock knock. The door to Donghae’s room opens and Hyukjae, in his black butler suit, enters with a shy smile on his face. Donghae sits up from his bed and wonders why Leeteuk is not the one carrying his tray of breakfast. Then he recalls what had happened just a few hours ago as he stands up and strides over to the nervous butler.
“Where’s Teuk-hyung?” Donghae throws out the question without thinking.
“I-I don’t know,” Hyukjae stutters, shivering from the Young Master’s grip on his shoulders. “I-I didn’t see him in the kitchen and your tray was still empty, so I fixed you some b-breakfast.”
Then Donghae remembers that Hyukjae has no idea what happened earlier and immediately releases his hold on him before apologizing. The red head smiles as if it’s nothing before handing Donghae his tray. There are two pancakes topped with strawberry syrup and whipped cream, an egg cooked over-easy, two strips of bacon, and a glass of orange juice, all organized neatly with a napkin at the side. The Young Master eagerly digs in as Hyukjae watches him, admiring silently.
“This is amazing, Hyukjae!” Donghae exclaims quite impolitely with a mouth full of pancakes. “Your father is amazing!”
Donghae hears a small chuckle from the butler as he nods his head no. “A-Actually, my dad is out of town for today and tomorrow. So, I made that.”
Before he can swallow, Donghae’s jaw drops in surprise, which causes Hyukjae to turn his gaze away from the unpleasant sight. The Young Master hurriedly apologizes before gulping down the rest of his breakfast. He stands up with the tray in his hand and compliments the red head’s cooking a couple more times before exiting his room and heading towards the kitchen. The butler follows him out and blocks Donghae from going any further.
“I’m supposed to handle that,” Hyukjae says, reaching out to grab the tray, but the other swiftly pulls it back.
“It’s alright, Hyukjae, I got it.”

”Thanks,” Leeteuk shoves a few dollars into the driver’s hand before exiting the car. He runs as fast as his legs can carry him to the entrance of the hospital, scrambling to the front desk right after.
“I’m looking for Park In Young,” he immediately tells the lady. She gives him a weird stare before checking some kind of clipboard.
“Down the hall, make a right, room 313; you can’t miss it,” she says and looks up, expecting a thank you, but Leeteuk is already gone.
“In Young!” he pushes the door open before running over to his sister, who is asleep on the hospital bed.
“Shush, Teukie,” Mrs. Park warns. “They’ll kick you out if you’re going to be that loud.”
“How is she?”
“She stayed up too late, frantically completing homework and studying for exams,” his mother explains while staring at In Young with worried eyes. “I told her to take a break, but she didn’t want to. I went to check on her in the middle of the night and she was lying on the floor unconscious.”
Leeteuk’s lips could only form an “o” as he observes his sister’s peaceful expression. He sighs and takes a chair nearby to sit on. “You can go home, umma. I’ll stay with her until she gets well.”
“The doctor told us that she was lacking nutrients and rest. Because of her fragile system, In Young has to stay here for at least two weeks,” Mrs. Park replies as she leaves for the door. Leeteuk only nods in acknowledgement and watches as his mother disappears.

Donghae had made it to the kitchen successfully with his breakfast tray, despite a protesting Hyukjae following him the entire way. He watches as the butler snatches the tray from him and begins to wash everything at the sink. The brunette insists on helping quite a few times, but Hyukjae refuses over and over, saying that Donghae should not be doing such dirty work. The Young Master scoffs at this, takes the fork, and begins scrubbing it with a soapy sponge. He starts a ridiculous conversation about aliens as they wash the dishes and silverware together, explaining how Earth couldn’t be the only planet holding life in the whole universe. Then they begin imagining funny-looking, one-eyed creatures and laughter fills the air. This is when Donghae chooses to mess around with the sink water and splash a great amount onto Hyukjae’s face, which leads to another round of endless giggles.
However, all of the cheerfulness in the atmosphere vanishes completely when an intimidating cough reaches their ears. The two turn around to meet face to face with Mr. Lee, whose eyes were sending piercing glares to both of them. The Young Master decides to clear his throat and speak first.
“Father, I was-”
“Doing dirty work?” he answers with an electrifying sting in his tone of voice. “How many times have I told you, Lee Donghae, that we are a rich family and therefore do not need to clean?”
“Well you can’t expect him to do this all alone, Father.”
“He signed up for this job and this is what he gets. That’s the second warning, son.”
With that, Mr. Lee rotates his heels 180 degrees before walking away from the awkward silence. Donghae turns to look at the other boy and finds a terrified expression all over his face. Hyukjae had frozen right in his spot, which concerned the Young Master greatly.
“Stay here, I’m going to go talk to him,” Donghae orders and directs his heartwarming smile to the red head before leaving him alone in the kitchen. A few moments later, he catches up with his father, who is watching the football game in the lounge on the second floor with a glass of wine in his hand. The Young Master strides over to Mr. Lee and takes a seat two feet away from him before striking up the conversation immediately.
“What has he done wrong, Father?” Donghae asks, a little bit of fear suddenly building up inside of him.
“The boy?” Mr. Lee looks at his son and receives a nod in return. “Nothing, he’s a great child.”
“Then why must you make his life miserable?”
Donghae’s father sighs before shifting a bit on the couch. “He’s a distraction to you, son. You can’t run a family business if you’re not focusing properly. Plus, with that boy around you all the time, you’re not acting the way you should be. I’m actually thinking about getting rid of him.”
The brunette’s eyes widen and he straightens his posture with a disgusted look on his face. “How could you think of such a thing, Father! I finally have someone my age in this place and you’re going to take him away from me?”
“It’d be a shame though. His father cooks so well…”
“And who said I ever wanted to run the family business when you’re gone?!” Donghae’s voice rises to a louder volume as his fists tighten in frustration.
“You will run this business,” Mr. Lee’s eyes darken as he glares at his son. The Young Master stands up, rage visible all over his face and he returns the glare straight back at his father before stating three words crystal-clearly.
“I will not.”
He storms out the room immediately after those words are spoken, but right before he exits, Mr. Lee says his last words.
“That’s strike three, son. Believe me; I will get rid of him.”
