Author's Note: This is part of the 100 scene challenge for NEWS! Main post here! Haha, i finally stopped Tegomass, and back to Koyashige!
The sound of the alarm was heard. Skipping towards it, he opened the oven slowly, to be greeted the sweet smelling aroma of the cookies he had just baked, fresh from oven. Excited, he stretched out to get the tray of cookies out, when he forgotten that it was burning hot.
"OUCH!" He screamed, and dropped the tray of cookies down onto the floor. His heart was like the same as the cookie, smashing into pieces. Tears formed at the tip of his eyes, and looking at the burnt hands, he felt himself a failure. Failure for being such a clumsy, and stupid boyfriend. Tears flowed down, who would want such a lousy boyfriend? Who would want him? Dejected, he got up from where he was, and dragging his feet, he walked towards the toilet, and washed his injury.
The next day, the boy went to the studio to meet his fellow NEWS members. "Shige, good morning!" Upon stepping in, he was greeted by a cheerful Tegoshi. Tegoshi smiled to him, before walking pass him, and flew into the embrace of Masuda. Yamapi and Ryo was talking to themselves sweetly at the corner. Shige looked around. He isn't here yet.
The door opened, and in came with Koyama Keiichiro- Shige's boyfriend. Shige flashed a big smile onto his face, when behind him, came another girl. Her hair was a rich shade of mahagony. It flowed in waves to adorn her glowing, porcelain-like skin. Her eyes, framed by long lashes, were a bright, emerald-green and seemed to brighten the world. A straight nose, full lips - she seemed the picture of perfection. The world toppled onto Shige. Who is that beautiful being beside Koyama? Why.. why are they holding hands?
"Everybody, good morning! I would like to introduce someone to all of you," Koyama exclaimed, breaking the tense atmosphere. The cuddling Tegoshi and Masuda stopped what they are doing, and sat up, seriously looking at Koyama and that girl. Yamapi and Ryo stood up and walked towards Koyama, being the 'leaders' of the group.
Koyama continued, when he has confirmed everybody was paying attention to his upcoming words. "This is Yukari. Kinoshima Yukari. She's my girlfriend, we're going out,"
The words struck into Shige like arrows. Girlfriend? Then, what am i to Koyama? Friend? No, Koyama did not said that to me before. He told me he like me, what are those words? Lies? The sorrow were gradually about to flow down his eyes. Shige, pushed himself between the two and ran out of the dressing room. "Keii-kun, that boy, he does't like me?" Yukari spoke. Koyama just patted her head, and shooked his head. "It's alright," Tegoshi and Masuda looked and each other, while Yamapi and Ryo just went back to their side. The four of them said nothing.
Shige had cut off all contacts with everybody. He stayed at home, not willing to go work. Even the manager came knocking onto his door, but without the keys, the manager could only leave the place in agony. Shige, yet, days and nights, he stayed in the kitchen. He keep cooking the cookies over and over again, piling up about three boxes of cookies. The oven, was his dear friend now. Baking the cookies, and remembering every single memories he had with Koyama. "Keii-chan, didn't you said that you love to taste the cookies i bake? For your sake, i have learnt to bake it! This oven, you had it installed in my house when i was away for my drama shooting. Why? Why did you do that to me?" there was no tears seen, all tears have dried up, and Shige have no tears left to cry.
Shige finally decided to walk out of his house, and get a bento to eat at the nearby LAWSON. When he walked out, he was blocked by a person. "Sorry..." he mumbled.
"Shige?" the familiar voice was heard. Shige raised up his head, and his eyes widened when he saw Koyama standing right in front of him. Without thinking, he pushed Koyama away, and using all his strength, he ran all the way. He didn't where he was running to, but he knew that he wanted to get away from Koyama- fast.
Then, a grab on his wrist. He turned around. Koyama had caught up with him, and caught him by the wrist. "Let.. let me go!" Shige shouted, throwing his purchase towards Koyama. Koyama shouted, "CALM DOWN, SHIGE!" Shige finally calmed down, and he squatted down onto the ground, his hands shivering.
"Why didn't you answer your calls? Everybody is worried.."
"Shut up,"
"Shige! What's wrong? Did something happen?"
Did something happen? Koyama, you're the cause of it. Shige looked up, and saw the face of Koyama. His face was gentle, sweet, caring...All the emotions hidden inside Shige suddenly came bursting out.
"Koyama! Didn't.. didn't you say that you like me!? Then, why .. why did you date that Yukari ?! Ain't I your boyfriend? Why are you treating me like this!?" Shige shouted, clutching the shirt of Koyama.
Koyama's eyes widened. He placed his hands onto the shoulders of Shige. "Shige. I am sorry, I think, i made you misunderstood my words," Shige let go of the grip. Misunderstand?
"I.. I meant that I like you as a friend, I didn't meant it that way. Shige, I am straight. I treated you as my best friend, and nothing more." Koyama's expression changed. It was no longer gentle. It was felt with disgust, irritation. Shige got up, and without saying anything, he dragged his feets back into the apartment.
He took a spanner from the storeroom, and with all the perplexed feelings he had being feeling for the past few weeks, he threw the spanner directly at the oven. Tears uncontrollably flowed down once again. He buried his face into his hands, and cried. The oven, was broken into pieces, lying all around the kitchen.
It hurts, just like how broken the oven is, Shige's heart was aching silently.
