I just bought Glee Season 5 on DVD, and there is an interesting little documentary on the NYC side of the story. It features a lot of insight from Ian Brennan, explaining the thought processes behind some of the onscreen drama ( Read more... )

It sounds like you were able to find some sound reasoning behind last year's show choices. I look forward to hearing them. :)

Rachel's sudden turn to other projects came about because her producer predicted that she could be playing Fanny Brice for 5 or 10 years. The thought frightened her, thinking that was all that people thought she'd be good for.

Kurt was apparently at sea in NYC, slowly realising that his dream of being a Broadway lead were unlikely to come true.

The strains on Kurt and Blaine's relationship were a compounded effect of one year apart, and then being totally in every aspect of one another's lives.

All valid reasoning, but the significance was poorly communicated on screen.

The explanations make sense but, especially Rachel's part, was NOT clear. One line about how long she'd play Fanny Brice was definitely skirted over.

Sadly Glee here in Adelaide kept being dropped and times changed and I have missed more than seen so I have lost the thread :(

It has been given the run around, but it's gotten a far more stable home on 11. They are currently showing season 4. Not sure if they intend to repeat Season 5 before season 6 begins.

Yes, cover up Santana. She is a floating head over a sea of regulatory bullshit! As usual there is way more Mr Schu on the cover than I am comfortable with.

I bought mine through ebay and got a great deal and it arrived last week. I quickly watched Adam's eps then started from Ep 1. I think his part was one of the things you're talking about. I haven't watched the Ian Brennan bit yet. I see what you mean about the cover.

I still love it and am watching the repeats on Friday night. I think it's S4 but it has Dean Geyer in it and who wouldn't want to perv on that luscious body?

Taking it with me to Melbourne in case I have time to watch more next week.

When the Adam songs come on my iPod, I just LOVE them. He was a great addition to the cast last season.
