I don't like water very much either, so it's really hard for me to drink enough. This is mostly a dehydration problem for me, but I've been fighting it by drinking juice. Juice still has some calories, but it's much healthier than soda. Maybe that could be a good compromise?

I do drink juice a lot actually (I'm always thirsty and I consume a lot of liquids on a daily basis) . . . it's just that drinking lots of water is supposed to *really* help with slow metabolism. :/

Water goes through your system faster than drinks loaded with other ingredients (less to process), so yeah that's normal.

Being lectured by my parents *now* would piss me off to be honest. XD But yeah, some support would be good; I keep getting annoyed with my mum because she keeps buying my favorite junk food, saying *she'll* eat it (even though she rarely does.) It's like she's trying to sabotage my efforts. :[

Hmmmm. I live on soda and caffeinated things and it's never really affected my weight, but I prefer diet to regular because for some reason regular soda makes my teeth feel gross. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. /so unhelpful sorry T_T

Well everyone's body is different, of course. Soda is full of empty calories, and since I have a slow metabolism and don't get regular exercise, it affects me a lot. :/

They really do; I have SO MANY of my mom's eating habits. I think "comfort food" was probably one of the first phrases I ever learned lol.
I don't like sweets, at least . . . but I wonder if that's better or worse than a pathological love for greasy, fried food.

I don't like lemony water either. *is frustratingly picky* :[

About the water thing, try seeing if drinking out of a bottle helps. Get yourself a small plastic bottle from a shop and keep refilling it. It might work. I know I'm more likely to drink a couple of litres a day out of a bottle than out of a glass.

You're seeing Glee live? Oh I'm so jealous. My fiance and I almost went to see them when they were in the UK, but in the end we never booked the tickets. Maybe we should if they come back. I love Chris Colfer so much.

I might try that - they do make those tiny water bottles these days, which aren't at all intimidating. XD (although sort of a waste of plastic, to be honest.)

I don't think I've ever seen tiny ones. But yes, like you said, that seems like a waste of plastic. But see if it works!
