In other news, I decided to try Habit RPG on guardians_song's recommendation. It has made me realize how very little I actually do! Basically work, thesis, class, internet. It's not like I don't have to do other things, given the amount of time I spend uselessly roaming the internet, I just always have trouble concentrating on creative projects when I have a major assignment in progress. So any time I think of working on something else, it's like the thesis is just looooming...even though I know that logically, it's not like I spend so much time on it anyway. Ha, Habit RPG does have that effect. :D;; Good luck getting more done!
Part of the problem with ReEldest is probably that the original book has basically no plot, so you're having to do it all from scratch rather than improve upon the original. :P (I don't blame you. Eldest is... well, the most interesting thing all book was magical lace. You're trying to actually give it a gripping plot and action. You poor soul. ^_^;;)
Lol, pretty much. My intense desire to buy yeti gear has made me want to find things to put on my to-do list. XD Oddly, my actual personal goals don't really involve doing more, just...actually getting the few things I have to do done. I uh, guess I am not very ambitious and also not very demanding of myself!
Exactly! Exactly! That's what I keep thinking! It's like Eldest itself infected its namesake. And it's totally the case, because the ONLY section of ReEldest where this is a problem is the Ellesmera part...aka, the only part that is even remotely related to the actual Eldest. (the rest of the novel involves Eragon getting almost murdered by dwarves and Nasuada forming a really incompetent detective agency. Durza's horse is the only member to achieve anything.) It's like...okay, yes, the plot needs Eragon to get trained in Ellesmera so the elves can brainwash him temporarily, but it is just. So. BORING.
