1. The bad news: I managed to overdraw my checking account yesterday. Only by a few dollars, and I was able to quickly transfer some money from my savings and avoid fees and things, but it was still an unwelcome moment of panic, and now I have very little money left in either checking or savings. :( Which is all on me, since I've not been very ( Read more... )

OSTENSIBLY I GET IN AT 8PM FRI DEC 17 AND LEAVE 10AM MON DEC 20 BUT SOMETIMES TRAINS SUCK.

That couple and that drunken man both sound really rather sweet...um, in very different ways. I get into conversations with homeless people sort of frequently. You get interesting stories a lot of the time.

I used to make up better endings/continuations as a kid, too. (That sort of thing might be why I often preferred the spin-off TV series attached to various Disney movies more than the film themselves.) And stories of my own. And now I can't much motivate myself to do either. HMM. Omg the continued adventures of Bernard and Bianca?! (And everybody else, actually, I loved everybody in that.) Awesome!

They were, kind of. I wasn't sure what to make of the guy while he was actually in the store; I was worried he'd try to steal something or knock something over, but at the same time I just felt like he should have someone with him. The saddest thing is he was wearing a Navy jacket, so either it was donated or he was a veteran who couldn't get/hold a job after he returned from service - a very large percentage of the homeless in my area are veterans. And that thought just broke my heart.

Oh good, someone else used to do that too. :D I remember writing my first "fanfic" in fifth grade; it was for an assignment, and it was basically a Star Wars self-insert, but it was fanfic all the same. I loved those continuation series myself for exactly that reason, too - it was more of the characters I loved, more of that world, more ideas. And yes, Bernard, Bianca, Jake, and Wilber the albatross. Because I also thought Jake was really cool, and I thought Bernard and Bianca should take him along on their future adventures. XD
