It looks like it's official, Initiative 26 the Personhood Amendment that would define a woman's fertilized egg as a person and setting up a challenge to Roe v. Wade in Mississippi, has failed to pass. I'm actually a little surprised by that given how conservative and Christian this state is.

Neither did I actually. I was also really surprised to hear some of my co-workers who were solidly Christian and conservative say they were voting no on it. There's hope for my state yet.
