LARA, I haven't watched Doctor Who in the longest time. MY ETERNAL CREYS. I need to watch it. NEED. Because these are the types of TV shows that I discuss at length, and I am itching to discuss it with you. :-(

SHERLOCK IS BEAUTIFUL. Beautiful I tell you. I've read half of the books (because I snored all to the end and I haven't tried to read it again ever since), but I can say with certainty that the translation of the events in the books to how it is on TV is as flawless as Karen Gillian's beautiful face.

Okay, okay, tell me if you've finished it. Or we can just talk about the episodes you've seen, I don't care. I miss fangirling with you!

That is high praise. Okay, I will finish Sherlock this week. But can I just say that Sherlock (the character) terrifies me to no end. Ugh, why can't you hide anything from him? I'm so glad he doesn't exist. It's much more fun watching him on TV. I like Anderson too. I hope he stays likable or does something interesting in the next two episodes (DON'T TELL ME IF HE DOES).

1) I've watched the other (modern) Whos but for me, I only got into it for the Tennant and Tate factor. Every other pairing makes it too much of a kids show for me. But *they* took it somewhere else, somewhere that could appeal to both the child in me and the adult. They were fascinating together. I saw the big revelation though about Amy and her...relation. (And can I just say, I TOTALLY CALLED IT. Well, no, I didn't but I wrote something every similar years ago in a fic only it was Donna and River who were related. Just saying ( ... )

1) I loved Nine/Rose too, for the same reason I love Ten/Donna - they really did become better people by being with each other. Okay, that could be argued for every Doctor/companion pairing but the emotional depth of Ten and Donna's relationship puts them on a whole other level ( ... )

I found that David Tennant brought so much more humour to the role than Chistopher Eccleston. He didn't make it a must-see for me, though I did watch on and off. But there was always something about the revolving role of the females that bugged me about the show. I guess the modern version has done a better job of making that feasible though ( ... )

I found that David Tennant brought so much more humour to the role than Chistopher Eccleston. I agree, but I did adore Eccleston's goofiness and alien-ness, and how he played Nine's weariness/survivor's guilt. Tennant's Doctor is the most human I've seen so far, and I think that, among other things, is what made him so popular ( ... )
