I just have to figure out how to get the bottom jaw to stay with the rest of the skull... I'm thinking a couple dots of clear nail polish would hold it, actually.

Dude, I feel really lame for not realizing that its beak would be part of its skull, but wow. That is SUPER cool.

Hee! Wouldn't be half as cool if it weren't! (Coincidentally, I didn't realize the pigment would come off the beak and leave it white until I got scrubbing.) Thank you!

Thank ye, thank ye! *g*

Under an hour, mostly because the pot was so small and it kept boiling dry in a hurry. What actually helped the process along so nicely was a hydrogen peroxide bath... Soaked it in that for a few hours and scrubbed it with more peroxide and Q-tips, and hey presto!
