More than dressing up and getting free candy, Halloween was a day for scary things, and while Cynthia wasn't exactly huge on the genre, one of her Pokemon was. As such, Spiritomb had been let out of her pokeball so she could enjoy the grand event, perhaps playing a small prank or two, as the occasion called for. Always under Cynthia's supervision, of course.

And, in fact, it's in between tricks and treats that the two stumble upon Lyra and her hopeless enterprise.

"Trying to make a costume, I see." Trying being the keyword here.

Lyra looks up, happy and a bit relieved to hear a familiar voice. Cynthia is older and has great taste in clothes, perhaps she could help Lyra with this fabric disaster.

"Yeah, but it's not working very well..." Lyra has only ever done a little sewing. Patching holes in socks, that sort of thing. She's never actually made anything, and it shows. Oh how it shows.

"I can see that." Cynthia replies with a slight chuckle, motioning with her head towards Lyra's several bruised fingers. "I've never made a costume, myself, but I know a little bit of sewing. Perhaps I could help you out?"

Ash almost always celebrated Halloween. After all, it was one of his favorite holidays of the year (besides Christmas, of course). Even Pikachu and the rest of his Pokemon got into the spirit, wearing masks and going around, getting free candy.

After all, free candy is the best kind of candy, right?

But as he's running around like crazy with his handy-dandy skeleton mask that he managed to bring from home - and to be honest, it made him feel a bit nostalgic - he notices Lyra and her Umbreon, and well, seeing a new Pokemon always made him feel giddy.

Don't mind him as he attempts to check his Pokedex for a second before asking, "What are you doin'?"

Free candy is only one of the things that makes Halloween so wonderful. There's also the costumes and decorations and costumes and mischief and, let us not forget, the costumes.

Nightvision casually comes over to see if you can keep his trainer from mutilating her fingers. This will promptly turn into sniffing the leg of your pants, however, because you don't really look the type to be good at sewing. Your Pokedex won't be able to recognize him unless you have it upgraded to Johto.

"I'm making a costume! I can't believe I forgot about Halloween until now!" She couldn't possibly go as a mummy or something like that, but she's getting specks of blood on her fabric from poking her fingers so often...
