How many people hated hospitals on this ship? She really wished they didn't need to bring him here, but after that fight, it was necessary...

Slowly, she opened the door, peering in and over to Sync's bed. Ah, he was awake.

He glared back. That woman had treated him before, he remembered...she worked for Ammy. He wasn't feeling terribly hospitable at the moment to anyone, no matter what her intentions were.

"What...do you want." The words were thick and hard to force out.

"... I came to check on you. You didn't enjoy the hospital the last time I attempted to bring you here."

The doctors were probably still giving him medicine; not that she blamed them. He would be in pain otherwise, yet she frowned. It made him quite out of it...

"I wonder why." His tone was bitter and tired. He'd given up struggling against the restraints, now he just wanted to rest with no interruption, in hopes that this would all go away soon.

AFTER AMMY I SUPPOSE? purplebiker September 22 2010, 04:35:39 UTC
Richezza had brought some delicious food and chocolates and healing materia and a heavy heart. This wasn't the way he wanted it to turn out. He wanted to bring him back with a bit of a beating, not the hell beaten out of him, despite what he had said before.

With a deep breath, he headed inside. "Sync?"

That voice--he stiffened a bit, then closed his eyes and forced himself to relax. Richezza was pretty much the last person he wanted to see at the moment. Maybe if he feigned sleep, he'd go away.

Oh. Well.

Even if he was asleep, he still had the chance to heal him a little. He entered the room, quietly closed the door behind him, set the food on a nearby table, and stood over Sync.

Extending two hands, he quietly murmured, "Cure."

Gay Green sparkles went from Richezza to Sync, looking as if it were entering his body. Surely it had to help a bit.

His eyes opened almost automatically--damn his curiosity--at the healing spell. They'd fought months ago, and Richezza had been nothing remarkable...where had he gotten all these artes all of a sudden? There was no was he was a Seventh Fonist. Maybe it had something to do with different worlds, but...

The difference was a little noticeable, considering his painkillers were wearing off, so he wasn't about to complain about the healing. It was the person he had a problem with, so...now that his cover was blown, he may as well give Richezza a glare.

[Really, he was coming by to see if he could get a doctor for Arietta - his first priority, always - and to glance in and see Sync lying in bed instead of something useful (like what he was originally looking for, a doctor) was a bit of a surprise. But not unwelcome, at the moment.

So he hovers at the doorway, almost appearing to be hesitant, before he enters and stands a few feet away from the bed.]

You hurt Arietta.

[Despite the ever-present smile curving his lips, his tone is cold.]

[well. This should have been expected. A small shudder runs through him, but he refuses to let it show on his face, meeting his original's eyes with a hard gaze. This was going to hurt no matter what. He may as well tear all the worth out of it that he could.]

[he forces his lips into a lopsided smirk.]

She stuck her nose into something that wasn't her business. You should try getting your pet a new leash.

[Still trying to be cocky, in such a position? Ion would attempt to be impressed if he wasn't resisting the urge to kill Sync. Questions first, punches later.]

And you should learn to keep quiet. Didn't we teach you manners? Respect your superiors. [He moves another step closer, glancing him up and down, and laces his fingers behind his back.]

[his laugh is cracked and bleeding, almost dry. It hurts his chest.]

Why should I listen to you? Or anyone, for that matter. I'm not the one who insisted on dragging me back here.

The knock was more courtesy for whoever else might be visiting Sync than Sync himself; from what she'd heard from the nurses, the green-haired teenager had been brought in a bad condition, and she'd expected him to be either unconscious or out of it with drugs. It didn't matter. She was just bringing something colorful to brighten the hospital room, but--

"Oh, you're awake," she said aloud as she peeked in. She came in, softly closing the door behind her, holding something behind her back. "Hello."

He took a moment to recognize the face, the voice--that woman who had bought him clothes when he's inexplicably become a child. Or as close to a child as he'd ever be. He shifted a bit uncomfortably, as much as he could in his position. Why was she here? He didn't respond, only watched her warily from across the room.

She met the guarded look with a smile and lightly teasing, "Don't worry, I won't sing this time." That is, assuming he was the one she'd met before turning into a child herself--Ion had said he had more than one brother, after all. "The nurses weren't sure how long you might be in here, and these rooms are always so boring, don't you think? If I wanted people to get better, I'd start by putting them somewhere more pleasant." Not just boring, but sterile; Sync wasn't the only one reminded of a lab-like setting by them. Aerith was glad she'd never needed to stay in a hospital. She turned to a side table, letting Sync what was behind her back: a sparse but vivid arrangement of bold red and yellow flowers.

He remembered, and looked away for a moment. He'd rather not say the singing had comforted him. No one had ever let him hold onto them like that....been gentle. In hindsight, it just felt like a lie.

Flowers--their colors were almost too bright against the stark white walls. He closed his eyes for a moment. Did she expect him to say something?

"It would be boring no matter what."
