Ron didn't know where the time had been going lately. Somehow, suddenly, it was the end of July and, he realised, his best mate's birthday, and he'd managed to miss Neville's birthday, but as it was yesterday Ron hoped his friend wouldn't be too pissed; as he recalled, Neville was a pretty forgiving bloke. Dashing off a couple of notes, he sent them off with Keeper.

Sorry I missed your birthday, mate. It was yesterday, right? I hope it was brilliant. We should catch up some time. Maybe we could meet up for a pint? Or you could come to my place for a couple of beers. I'm at 6A River Place now. Anyway, sorry I missed it.
