So tomorrow night I do my lead at a neighboring Al-Anon meeting. That is basically where I share how I came to find Al-Anon, what was going on in my life at the time and how things have changed since I started attending meetings. Wish I could be there to hear you!

I have found an Al-anon meeting close by. It's pretty good. Another, my favorite, is an all women's meeting and they are much more open about alcohol or drugs - they actually mentioned it and I almost died. I am always so careful not too *chuckle.

There is also a nar-anon that is about an hr away. Going to go there when the days stay lighter longer. Who knows!

I 'wrote' my store once - How I got to the halls. I am sure my story will change as I grow with the program. My qualifiers were alcoholics and go back three generations; my kids and nieces/nephews kids are 4th and 5th generation. The thing I have learned most so far is that my JM was the straw that broke my back - surely not the entire load!

love you girl!

Thanks so much sweetie ! It would be nice if you could be here, but just having your support is great ! My parent's meeting is VERY open about whether it be alcohol or drugs as is my Friday morning meeting. It is nice for those of us who have been touched by both...usually parents ! Thanks for all the nice words ! Maybe you can make it to Pittsburgh for the convention in July, and we can go to a few things together ! That would be awesome ! I have quite a history in my family of origin myself and can relate to the JM part of your story. Same here. With S.

It's natural to be a little nervous, but I'm betting you'll do a great job and touch many people with your story. Good luck!

Thanks a lot Gloria ! I have done this before, but has been a while. I just want to make sure I stay focused and don't get scatterbrained and jump all over the place !
